Is the current chat based on a direct (encrypted) channel between both parties or are the messages relayed by other nodes?
eg: Will my real ip be revealed if i chat with someone?
Yes with the test release your IP is not concealed Just to address this: the current release doesnt do anything for your IP, as Dan said, but next week, the TOR stick ISO with encrypted EM + wallet will be released FOR FREE to the public, which will connect to the TOR network, utilising XC's platform, and creating the best anon encrypting messaging released till now. Yes, but relying on Tor to shield the IP is not the full solution - I hope. Assumed it is to be like the multihop mixing, using XNodes. team has analysed the details before, but Im not up to the task. I do remember though that XC platform with TOR is significantly better than just TOR implementation, im just not qualified to explain why. |

This is just that when data is kept within the Tor network it is harder to analyse than on plainnet. |

Holy sh** guys,
I just got home and read todays announcement, I am speechless.
I immediately ordered another set of USB drives to back up my wallet on two more seperate drives, again. Yes, paranoid I know but I also know that XC will reach a market cap that is beyond our wildest dreams. Those XC's you are holding now will become very precious.
XC team : you are literally the best of what crypto has to offer.
Normally I try to be more eloquent, but I am too excited for what the future will hold.
