I saw someone mention that the new wallet will be released tomorrow, but I also heard it should be expected some time next week.  Can anyone confirm?

Yes tomorrow night will be an updated wallet release that has both XChat and Private Transactions.  Next week will be the updated TOR_STICK Image release

Dan

^ Bump ^

Looking forward to this release. Exciting times ahead boys! Once we break 002 many will be exiting the other alts to take part.  Many have already started this.

+1

Agreed. Even tho some people in this thread looks like hate talking about prices, guess what...

Devs (generalizing here) spend a LOT of money in PR firms whales to promote, and other circus facilities to make their coins known mainstream and appreciated by many...
But in reality, there is nothing as powerful as a significative increase in price to promote a coin.

Sure 50% of the new investors will be PnD artists, but if we can grab the other 50% and make them understand what XC is doing... heh... there is the gold my friends...

Great job devs.

@ATCsecure and @synechist

I'm a designer and could give a hand with banners/3d material/promo screens for the stick or whatever else, depending on time available of course.

PM me with XC vector logo (Corel or AI) and the kind of stick you guys using (3dsMax or Sketchup would be best) and I will do what I can.

PS: I know we haven't seen 194k for a GOOD while but DO NOT DUMP, MORONS

wtf is with this sell off?
I find it quite impressive that a dump like that had so little impact on the current price

I like the fact that no one else cares hehe, people do not panic in this case Smiley if it had been another currency we would have seen a small panic

The only reason I care is that I fail every time to remember that this happens every day or every few days....this way I can set and wait on my buy orders..... Its okay not too much lost, I bought in more @ 178K and 183K... was going to do a little day trading here and there while I have my other coins locked up so yeah....

You do not loose unless you sell at a loss.  Holding XC is only gains even if for the short term it appears as a loss.

anyone keeping funds on ANY exchage and not using 2FA is kinda... a bad idea.  it taes 2 seconds to set up the 2fa so why the fUCK would u transfer 100 BTC to an exchnage without 2fa enable.  was his password "password" or maybe it was "abc123" or "iloveyou"  Wink

What's the difference security wise between a very strong password, and a very strong password + google auth 2fa?

To get past the strong password you'd basically need a keylogger, and if you have that, then you'd also get the google password?

if you use passwords with 2FA then it is impossible for someone to hack your account.

2fa is not a one time password.  it uses a key that changes roughly every 10 seconds.  so they would have to guess your very very long password and then also they would have to guess at precisely the right time the correct code to enter to bypass the 2fa auth.

Its like having 2 locks on your front door.  one has a key for the main lock it unlocks it everytime.  the other lock needs a new key every 10 seconds.  every 10 seconds the lock is switched and u are given a new key.

jsut enable it bro dont be an idiot.

Just googled the google authenticator, and I thought it's just the google account's password you need to type in addition to exchange password, but I thought wrong and apparently it sends the code to a phone instead. I just suspect I'm far more likely to lose/brick my phone than install a keylogger without me knowing, so my funds are actually safer without the 2fa. Smiley

You can copy a code down when you set the 2FA key. If you lose the phone you can in principle still access the account with this code although I've never tried it. I think you'd have to contact support (if this is an exchange you are talking about?) and ask them to do it. But without this code your coins are indeed lost so it has led to the odd panic when I thought I'd left the phone somewhere. If you have an old phone lying around you can maybe use that. On the other hand I've heard of quite a few incidents of people having their non 2FA'd accounts hacked.

So happy I moved all my XC off the exchanges and backed up my wallet.dat I can't even imagine losing 100 btc or even the btc/xc I have... especially for something as ridiculous as not setting a 2FA.

Pretty sure we've had more updated wallets just this weekend then most PnDs have in their entire existence.

So happy I'm done with that scene and invested in one of the best cryptos for the long term.
