I have a feeling that the dev is going to surprise us with some tricks up his sleeves. Good or bad? If it's bad, let's start the FUD and get more cheap coins Me likey dem cheap coins.. but the feelings rumbling in my gut are mostly positive....or it could be just gas.

Updated OP. Happy hashing. 1) Someone just PMd me, asking if AXIS is an anonymous coin. No, anon is a fairy tale. AXIS is not an anonymous coin. ( Maybe it will be, but not anytime soon. ) We wont be hyping AXIS with lies, but actions.
2) We wont make a "FOUNDATION". Most of them use those coins they gather from the community for personal benefit. There will be no charity fund codes/address in our source. Most of X13 coins have it..
3) We will be using SilkCoin's wallet. I believe that design is far more attractive than ordinary -QT. ( We wont have any fancy camels, walking through desert. We suck in designing If you stick with that... and don't get tempted by all those silly "announcements" of big plans (AKA hot air that adds no real value) etc... This will be a coin to seriously build a community and usable currency upon. Here's hoping!

I'll be pushing this on a few merchants that accept a range of coins already. I'll give it a few weeks to make sure it's still reliable and nothing bad added in source updates.
And this is coming from someone that has a reputation for calling bad coins.
Its still very early but it looks like the dev has plans in mind and aiming for the long haul. We took BlackCoin src, + X11 algos, ran it for 2 days, without any issues. ( Thanks God! ) Forked what we got from BC + X11, then added 2 missing algos and we got a X13 coin. That coin is AXIS. - So, it's not a clone of any other X13 coin.
In the next 12 hours, we will run AXIS-test-coin on a real pool, so we check if there will be any issues with stratum and other things ( Not sure what could go wrong ).
Hope you guys see what effort we're putting in AXIS. Oh, and yeah.. There will be no charity fund codes in our coin-code like every other x13 coin has.
Nice initiative! Looking forward to further progress.

The lack of the "donation" code... That was one of the first things I looked for in the source and was very happy it was not included. Quite nice, tight and clean source over-all.

So does this mean the pow time is cut in half? I think dev should do something with that other 1%, how does everyone else feel about that?

Here's code: Premine of 1% (of 12million) and 687.5 block reward: int64 GetProofOfWorkReward(int nHeight, int64 nFees, uint256 prevHash) { int64_t nSubsidy = 687.5 * COIN;
if(nHeight == 1) nSubsidy = 120000 * COIN; else if(nHeight <= 100) nSubsidy = 1 * COIN; return nSubsidy + nFees; }
TOTAL money supply (PoW + PoS) static const int64 MAX_MONEY = 36000000 * COIN; // 36 Million However, I can't find the missing 6 million coins either. I don't know how you get 12 million coins in the PoW phase. Blocks aren't fully mature to stake for 30 days (but they can start in 7 hours): unsigned int nStakeMinAge = 60 * 60 * 7 * 1; // minimum age for coin age: 7h unsigned int nStakeMaxAge = 60 * 60 * 24 * 30; // stake age of full weight: 30d
687.5 block reward * 1440 blocks per day + 120,000 premine = 6059312.5 after 6 days. (990,000 coins for 5 days, 1st day with premine was 1109312.5 coins) So...I don't know where 12 million coins in the PoW phase comes in. In fact, we're about 1/3 of the way through PoW right now (on block 2735 of 8640). The current money supply is 1,935,099.0. That's almost 1/3 the total I just calculated (6,059,312.5). I think the total PoW coins is ~6,000,000. Thus, the premine was actually 2%. This is good and bad. Less coins means it's worth more. However, a 2% premine means we were lied to. The other option is that I'm just not seeing 6 million coins somewhere. They aren't in the money supply right now and, at this rate, won't be by the end of PoW. I don't feel I was lied to If he had double the amount of actual coins he said he had I would, but he always said the premine was "120,000" right ? and ya so once pos starts we'll already have however many days stake on the coins since we deposited your first deposits, and you have a chance of getting your coins staked after only 7 hours (after pow ends of course) but a coin will never get more than 30 days worth of stake on it (full maturity) so be sure to leave your wallets open/unlocked consistently after pow ends to be sure you don't miss out on any
