i think they disabled it just as a precaution because they seem to be stuck at block #8640 just like dedicatedpool, while most of us are well higher than 8700 (i'm currently at block 8745).
i think we need to wait for an update from someone that can analyze why this is happening

I sold all my AXIS coin about half an hour before the wallet was disabled, I guess it's my lucky day.
The reason I sold was because the constantly staking orphan blocks thing freaked me out.

i think you'll probably regret it... just saying I had hopes for Axis coin and mined it since the beginning, but the code is badly broken and now it looks like we don't even know who the dev is.

It's called panic dump. For a reason. Not dev dumping.

Just a few of my thoughts and opinions.
Firstly, I have some BTC invested in Axis so, you can judge what I say with that in mind.
Just before launch, I read the pre-ann and thought I would give this coin a go. I started to mine it on a pool at launch and then looked at the code when it went on GitHub.
The source seemed decent enough, no "donation" addresses and scrapes/etc.
So, because of that, I compiled the wallet and added it to my dedicated wallet machine and rented some contractors to mine it and started to buy up the coin on Poloniex.
I must admit, I was under the impression that CallMeAXIS was the dev. My fault for such an assumption.
I would like to know what the reasoning was behind bringing the PoS forward as it seems to be this action which has caused the current problems.
Again, I am really busy doing work right now so haven't had a chance to scrutinise the code, but you can not change the PoS start block without also making accommodations for it in other segments of the source (such as transaction and block verification). I don't know if this has been done or not.
Now we know CallMeAXIS is not the dev, it would be good to know if the dev is a freelancer or an actual member of the team. Is there an actual team or is it just CallMeAXIS? I'm not going to be screaming and trolling if it is just "one guy" but it would be nice to know.
I do think the current problem is a minor one but I am more concerned that there may have been a severe lack of thought in adopting the recent code changes.
This coin had given me great hope for crypto, but I must admit, I am a little concerned about Axis right now. More because of the image it is presenting for itself.
This current issue can be fixed, but some reasoned discussion of how this coin should move forward must be engaged in and in the spirit of the initial announcement regarding no stupid "anon" features, illegal foundations or "let's pretend" NPOs.
I would also, with great respect, request that we do, indeed, discuss this in a rational and respectful manner. It gets us nowhere to troll and any of those that do troll are obviously not interested in the coin anyway.
Thanks.

+1 but for the time being we can't do much about it but wait for the dev and tell us what's going on and why do the pools and exchanges are/were stuck on the last POW block
