That's my view too. I have been reading all posts and everything on the Fimk site to try to find out why exactly they're calling it a "2.5" coin abd haven't found any real innovation. Guys, do some explaining because at the moment this is just vaporware.

Hi Guys,

I found some issue today which i am not sure weather is really issue or may i doing any mistake ?

Yesterday i opened my wallet on http://107.170.145.83:6886/ and noted my account and numeric id.

I made some investment in account and i received confirmation that my donation has been accepted and allocation will be done soon.

Today morning i logged into account using my phrase and my account number changed to something different or is it that i can not user same ids until July allocation has been done  and that is why they gave me different id  (As on login page of Wallet saying in RED "Warning: You are connected to the TestNet. Note that your live FIMK account will have the same password as your TestNet account) ?

Any idea guys ?

Thanks

You are making a mistake in the passphrase. The same passphrase will always enter you into the same FIMK account.

Hi

I open ONLY AND ONLY ONE ACCOUNT and copy the phrase and invested the money in that account.

Please check your personal messages as i send the my account details where i deposited the money.

First i had issue when i send the money (Not your mistake for sure ). After you confirm that share will be go in the account which i mentioned through email i logged in with same phrase and i logged into another account.

I do not want to loose the money even before it is LIVE.

It is your Beta system and i am sure it has some bug which send me to different account.

Thanks
Akash

It seems there is no innovation except combine NXT with Auroracoin
Guys, do some explaining because at the moment this is just vaporware.
All right maybe we have to more prominently display the innovations and Unique Selling Points. I prefer to not get the insulted feeling of vaporware many times any more! FIMK is not a NXT clone, it is a spin-off with substantial innovative features both inside and outside the technology.

FIMK innovations / USPs as compared to NXT (or any other cryptocurrency):

1. Guaranteed Bitcoin-like block reward keeping the POS algorithm security advantages intact

- FIMK brings the Bitcoin-like guaranteed block reward with halving algorithm to the NXT based Proof-of-Stake cryptocurrency. The Proof-of-Stake model traditionally allowed only "mining" or "forging" earnings from transaction fees. FIMK pays 200 coins to the block finder every 30 secs (average) even when there are no transactions. This is not insignificant, it's a major change in algorithm that affects distribution and adoption incentive drastically.

2. The basic income model of FIMK

- the national distribution model doesn't resemble Auroracoin at all. The only connection is the term "national". Auroracoin rode on the hotness of the term without the public understanding that the plan would inevitably lead to a miserable dumping end after the hype of the first national coin was fully exploited. The FIMK basic income model is on first come first served basis, pays them a small amount monthly, and limits the amount of monthly total distribution. FIMK is designed to attract more active users instead of more active dumpers. We've never seen anything like this in the crypto world, and very little of it in the traditional national politics worldwide either. It's a new frontier in the attempt to achieve more effectively working macroeconomic structural models. Consider that term. It's not bullshit.

3. streamlined testnet allowing independent development AND addition of NXT features through code "hot swap" facility

- the automated testnet is NOT a simple addition of web bots that make payments from account to another. It's a comprehensible integration suite prepared with the deep insight of a professional java enterprise level application coder. We can implement individual changes to the FIMK codebase, and we can patch it with the latest NXT updates in the matter of hours. All this while the testnet is humming in the background performing millions of transactions in order to ensure that if there's a small hidden fault in the system (either FIMK or NXT) we are notified of it immediately.

4. 30 second block target.

- not a trivial change, the halving of NXT's one minute target brings FIMK more closely to retail sales application. One minute is too long to wait on the counter. 30 seconds is not. While instant transactions (planned NXT feature, not in the foreseeable near future) are absent this blockchain level improvement is significant for real world adoption prospects

5. National community potential

- did you know that Finland has the highest number of Bitcoin users in the world relative to the number of citizens? Yet this aspect has not been tapped inside the country. There is A SINGLE bitcoin exchanger serving Finns, and not widespread cultivation of the potential for aspiring opportunities from such a dynamic audience. FIMK aims to leverage the power of the community by bringing in something we can work for together, letting the strong national pride flourish along on the side.

I "donated" about one Btc via Dgex now. The project seems quite promising and I like it to see that there are people working on it who have actually a plan which is very rare for Nxt forks. Cheesy

Thanks for your trust. I agree the early NXT forks have messed up the image of NXT and its likes that was not great to start with. The technology behind it is still truly great and FIMK is now going to fix the rest.

Yes DGEX is the simplest, or use blockchain.info as instructed here: http://fimk.fi/en/allocation.htm

Deadline is Friday June 27th 23:59 GMT.

Upon clicking on 'Confirm' you agree that:

- you are at least 15 years of age
- you are donating cryptocurrency to Krypto FIN nonprofit association - DGEX.com acts as the public image escrow for the donation and carries no other responsibility than delivering the donations to Krypto FIN ry and allocating the donator a stake of the FIMK currency according to their transacted proportion of the total donations amount
- participating in this offering not illegal in your jurisdiction
- this is a HIGH RISK transaction and it is possible to lose part or all of the funds allocated to your donation.

Even with dgex as escrow it sounds like they will just hand over the BTC without a second thought. Can we get a forum escrow?

Apparently we have a different level of reading comprehension...

DGEX.com acts as the public image escrow for the donation and carries no other responsibility than delivering the donations to Krypto FIN ry and allocating the donator a stake of the FIMK currency according to their transacted proportion of the total donations amount

The idea of escrow is that your money is forwarded by an intermediary party, who you can trust more than the final receiver. DGEX doesn't pay FIMK the BTC until we deliver the FIMK to their customers. It's understandable if you don't trust FIMK, but if you don't trust DGEX (who is a forum member since several years) then we're running out of ways to help you.

The given MD5 checksum does not not match the calculated checksum from client software download (http://81.4.106.149/clients/fimk.zip)!!! Can you check it, please?

There was an old checksum... thanks for letting me know, updated!

It is your Beta system and i am sure it has some bug which send me to different account.
Looking at your posts here and elsewhere (e.g. sky_g@nextcoin.org), it seems you're either very very very unlucky or pretty beta yourself.

Curious where FIMK is going, I'm in as well, let's see. =)

Finland has a comprehensible electronic ID database and application interface used by banks, which we're gonna tap into.
