Saw someone else post this interesting article on another thread...........http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-27987827

I found this quote from the article to be shocking "There is enough sunlight that falls on the Earth every hour to generate enough electricity for the planet for a year"......that's fricken nuts!

It has been a long battle trying to get solar adopted by the masses........hopefully cryptos like GRE will make a huge impact to these efforts!!

FTFY ...  Grin Grin Grin

HA!  Yeah, my bad.....you right:-)

Everyone, on Thursday evening (6/26) between 11pm EST / 8pm PST and 12/9pm I'm going to be giving away 500 GRE for every BLOCK that is found. If you find a block, you get 500 + the PPLNS shares. Join us on http://weminealtcoins.com or .net if you like that better; and get GREEN!!

If anyone mining on the chicken strips pool could spread out - They have been finding a majority of the blocks lately.

Working on the QT today with UeGroup, should have designs by Monday.

Thanks all!

Block finding event starts in under 10 minutes!!! Giving away 30,000 GRE + fees during the time! If we run out, then we run out, but I'd rather run out!

for your mining needs!!

I don't know if you can do something but I cannot mine with NiceHash on your pool. The order is immediatly disconnected and never reconnect because it say the pool difficulty is too low (NiceHash require difficulty above 32).

In the NiceHash's forum thread I asked what to do with vardiff pool... but my question is ignored and never got a reply about this problem.

On ChickenStripes the problem occured a couple of times but the majority of time it work. On WeMineAltcoins, I tried 3 times and failed every time. Maybe some pools are quicker to adjust the difficulty of workers?

Hi, sorry to hear that :c My vardiff starts at 8 and moves you up over time. I set the time to 3m between deciding if you need to upgrade, because people were bouncing around between 2048 and 1024 excessively. It probably takes about 5-10m or so to settle into what your machine can handle.

I can look into setting up a straight Diff 2048 port, but I'm worried people will just pick it and then not submit any shares during a round.

I've adjusted the pool vardiff, but it seems you got on before I've enabled it. You're well above 32 diff...

Edit: And you just disappeared. I don't know what's going on with Nicehash; I know some people are using Betarigs to mine (Not endorsing, just restating what I've seen/heard)

Last night I mined few minutes with my own littles rigs. It was not with NiceHash. Once NiceHash disconnect because the difficulty is too low, the order just sit there and I must cancel it.

That being said, I just tried again with NiceHash, still doesn't work.

I also know Betarigs and MiningRigRental but NiceHash is often cheaper. And when the GRE's mining difficulty is around 4 the lower profitability do not justify the rental cost.

By the way, anyone know if some multipools added GRE in their coins rotation? Since about a week I notice the GRE difficulty change a lot and quickly.

Alright, I'll implement the stratum changes on all pools here soon. I can pay you 10,000 GRE for your troubles if you post an address. c:

I know there is one multipool that has us in their rotation, but a lot of the diff jumping has been from people joining pools for a day or so and leaving. Chickenstrips had like 200+ mh/s one day and probably had 60% of the total power just on his pool.

Nah it's OK. But thank you for the offer. I only reported the problem thinking it could improve your pool and/or NiceHash.

I've removed the list of payments from the OP - all information is stored at www.grcoin.com/news.

Thanks all - note that we are currently adding a dice game to our list of udpates Smiley

That's fine, its something I need to work on anyway. I'll look to add that feature to the other 3 pools. I suppose eventually I should make a topic about the pool, but I'm kinda nervous about doing that. :x Just hate messing up and having people lose their shit over small stuff.

FYI: The GRE-stratum pool is now set to 32 diff. The other NOMP pools defaulted to 32...

Hey all,

Making some efforts to be added to merged mining on several pools - should help our hashrate a bit. Better get GRE while the getting is good!

UEGroup will be emailing me some previews tomorrow afternoon of our wallet QT update, and I'm happy to report that we've gotten some interest from new producers.

Contacted a few companies / websites about allowing GreenCoin for payment on their site, and have received mixed reviews. Unfortunately this is all background work, but I'm happy to report it's getting done.

Thanks all!

All of our faucets have been refilled - they weren't completely empty, but I was making sure that they won't run out.
