This is currently the only Satoshi-based anon coin that isn't using the Coinjoin protocol (aside from Anoncoin). Where else would we be? If you're wondering why that's a big deal read this security analysis: http://www.coinjoinsudoku.com/advisory/. Kristov Atlas's research has shown he can unmask 100% of the anonymous crypto transactions that use the Coinjoin protocol. His tool should be available at any moment. When that happens you'll realize that this is the only satoshi-based altcoin thread worth posting in aside from the cryptonote-based coins. You'll see a mass panic dump of the Coinjoin crypto.

Title: Weak Privacy Guarantees for SharedCoin Mixing Service

"The SharedCoin mixing service provided by Blockchain.info offers only limited privacy to users due to weaknesses in its design. Bitcoin users should carefully consider their privacy requirements and evaluate other mixing services if they require serious privacy guarantees. A tool for analyzing SharedCoin and other CoinJoin-based mixing protocols will be released approximately two weeks following this advisory to allow SharedCoin users adequate time to protect their privacy."

In approximately two weeks, CoinJoin Sudoku will be released, open-source. The delay is intended to allow former users of SharedCoin adequate time to take extra steps to protect their financial privacy. The code will be made available here:

https://github.com/kristovatlas/coinjoin-sudoku
-Kristov Atlas
http://www.coinjoinsudoku.com/advisory

Translation = I'm giving you two weeks to sell your Coinjoin based crypto so you don't lose your ass.

This advisory was posted over two weeks ago.

If this really happens, the sky will be the limit...  I will be following this closely.

I'm not sure that cloak's followers aren't becoming some sort of cult. It seems like the same 4 or 5 people post here all day.

This would propel CLOAK into the #1 spot.

Didn't want to quote a wall of text - it's been more than two weeks and there isn't anything in the github.  Has there been any updates?  I did some googling, but it all related back to the original advisory.

Wonder why my wallet fell off the rich list?  Is it because I haven't moved anything in a while?  Still shows on blockchain...

First of all let me say that I do trade cloak. I have sold some on spikes and bought some back on dips. Those that say they always sold at the high and buy at the low are being dishonest. I keep a core position because in all honesty you never really know when a run up will happen. Most people are traders that trying to increase their bitcoin positions. My take on this whole bitcoin/cryptocurrency thing is that bitcoin will probably have 60-90% of the crypto market. That will leave 10-20 other alt coins that specialize in different features to fight for the other 10-40%. It is up to you/us to decide what we think these currencies will evolve into. I feel more comfortable trading Cloak than some of these others that have not produced anything but promises. I think the upside is huge if you pick the right one but you will probably lose everything if you are in the wrong one.

And there is nothing wrong with this, it creates volume, and volume attracts investors. This behavior is going to happen, not all will just hold long. But like this guy said cause he seems smarter than average trader, he's not trading his core stash, which is very smart, since you don't want to lose out when this thing goes up. To each his own, but least he sees the long term potential here. I tend to agree with you sir on the 10 -40% alts making up rest of market, but will probalby be used for speciality things. Like this coin, serves real world purpose.

I look for coins to invest in that have promise and real world uses, not hype and glammor.

No, I think the richlist isn't correct...  As I said earlier, my holding isn't on the list, even though I should be in the top 200.
