P.S Any plans for some of the devs to reveal their identity? I know some of the devs might never do it. but even if 1-2 devs can be open about who they are, it could bring so much more credibility to potential sideliners. Just a thought

I agree.

I don't think its anyone's business who the devs are. They're doing an amazing job and people should appreciate that fact by respecting their privacy. This whole concept of devs working on anonymous currencies and then revealing their identities is counter productive.

I don't think its counterproductive at all. look at other coins price jumps after devs reveals their identity. most of investors in cryptocurrency are nervous and insecure people. I'm just saying it might have positive effect to sooth those nervous hearts. especially right before or right after Posa release, it can double up the support and the price.
Personally, I don't really care who they are, their action speaks louder and they have given me enough credibility and I feel very comfortable with my investment.

Why would that build up the price? Maybe for a currency that isn't focused on user privacy and anonymity. In the case of Cloakcoin it would drop the price. I personally would lose confidence in the developers if they revealed their identity. What they are developing here is something that goes against the constructs of the matrix. Why would they want to expose themselves to Agent Smith?

It's not about the price its about the mission young padawan.

I agree with you that its about the mission and I think the devs are doing great job.
I also think that cloak will succeed regardless.
but look at how prices soared on dark, xc, super(was it super? i dont even remember- dev turned out to be graduate student at rutgers?) their prices soared soon after devs revealed their identity.

like I said, personally I don't care either way, but I'm bringing this up because there are lot of investors out there who does.
my point is that we could use fresh investors and one open dev can help bring in lot of new money.

I think it was vericoin that the devs revealed their identities and the price rose. Something about them being engineers or having some degrees.

Do you think the price will react the same under the next four circumstances?:

Scenario #1:

TheDagger is revealed to be a Savant with Autism. He is a coding genius but can't communicate in real life. He is actually 8 years old and is a hermit.

Scenario #2:

TheDagger is a 30 year old with a Masters Degree from MIT in Computer Science. He also works for Google. He is a coding genius who has actually signed a non-compete agreement. He reveals himself and Google sues him back to the stone-age, forcing him to abandon the project or worst yet, hand over the reins to our new overlord masters, Google.

Scenario #3:

TheDagger is a 20s something basement dwelling neckbeard. He is a high-school drop out and still lives with his mom. He is an ugly ogre who breaks so many camera lenses that no picture of him actually exists. Imagine Mark Zuckerberg, but with bad hygiene.

Scenario #4:

TheDagger remains anonymous. He makes CLOAK a market leader, shitting all over FIAT, BTC, PAYPAL and EBAY all in one go. Since he didn't premine, but still mined coins fairly like the rest of us, he has enough money to code and support CLOAK from his private island, filled with top ten models. By remaining anonymous, he proves that CLOAK works. Our Lord and Savior Satoshi Nakamoto reaches out to him and they become best buds. Satoshi reveals to him who really shot JFK and where Jimmy Hoffa is buried.

I prefer Scenario #4.

The price isn't soaring right now because there's a coordinated push across the exchanges to keep the price low. I guess some people aren't satisfied with their holdings to allow the price to go up.

please never reveal yourself. Satoshi Nakamoto has a seat saved for you at the head table.

If CNBC comes looking for an on-the-air interview, tell them that you will only do it over the CLOAK network.

keep up the great work.

I hear that all the time everywhere when price is dropping, oh the whales are pushing down to price to increase their holding. if price goes up for no reason, oh the whales are manipulating the price.  we've been saying that 'someone' is pushing down the price to increase their holding for about 2 weeks now. Personally I think the problem we're having now is that we have small pool of diehard cloak fans (myself included) and not enough new money coming in.  and bunch of cloak holders playing short term gains selling and buying back to increase their holding.
this sounds much more realistic than some phantom whale theory.

P.S no I don't look at the chart all day trying to figure out if someone is manipulating the price, so please don't point out anything about reading the chart and spoting the 'great white whale'

Im definately more inclined to believe this theory, you can see pretty plainly that a coins price cant remain stable after a week of 1000+btc days and then a week of <100btc daily volume, people are holding and some weak hands are giving in and selling low, once that 20 btc wall is pulled cloak will rise but i dont think its whale manipulation intentionally.

Once we get some fresh BTC we will break through these walls, and the only way to get fresh btc is by imporving our public image and raising awareness about CLOAK, hit all the exchange troll boxes and crypto sites to promote CLOAK, were still behind the pack in that regard IMO

There is an 18 btc sell order at MintPal.  Normally, I would agree with you on all the whale talk.  But there is a huge order that is preventing the price from going anywhere right now.  You need not look at any chart other than the MintPal depth chart to see this.

It's not that hard to figure out. The price starts to get some traction and then a 17-20BTC buy wall goes up on multiple exchanges at the same time. Effectively killing the rally. I know I've been guilty of it in the past. I spent 48 hours straight fighting a rallying Cloak.. but eventually I won.

That was seriously good whitepaper.
you could tell how the devs were working hard during last few days while market and the thread was quite.
I would love to know what the ETA on OneMarket but first thing first. lets get that PoSa off the ground successfully.
I have been supporter and holder of Cloak since day 1 and still holding 100% of my investment.
I am in 20 btc deep at very attractive average price. I could sell out now and still double my investment but I am holding out for 10x -20x profit.
I have no doubt that the devs will deliver everything they are planning.
why? because they have delivered 100% of their promises so far and I believe they are very capable and diligent individuals.

P.S Any plans for some of the devs to reveal their identity? I know some of the devs might never do it. but even if 1-2 devs can be open about who they are, it could bring so much more credibility to potential sideliners. Just a thought

agree, also in top 30 rich list and would love for 1 or more developers to show their faces. Huge for this coin when it hit PoSA

This is at least $1 a piece per coin if this takes off and $10-$15 if it gets the level with dark, with more room for growth in market cap and with such rare supply. Thanks to those idiots who sold me the coins for 30k satoshi and to the future idiots who'll sell their coins to me under 100k sats go on I'm still accumulating.  Grin

Gotcha Wink
