Hey everyone,

I just signed up @ https://cryptocointalk.com/ they are a TOR/I2P/VPN friendly cryptocurrency forum. Anyone else in favor of moving the official CLOAK forum over to cryptocointalk?

For those of you that don't know this forum is extorting TOR/I2P/VPN users for money. IMO this forum is not the best place to have an anonymous currency discussion.. The hypocritical thing is the forum is "Sponsored by https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/, a Bitcoin-accepting VPN."

Also check out their "premium forums" seems like it would be a better setup than this (being able to have sub-forums etc).

Sample Pages:
https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/411-bitcoin-scrypt-btc/
https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/232-cryptocoin-premium-forums/

I see no reason why it should be moved to Cryptcoitalk... BCT is a much bigger forum.

Main reason is organization of discussion. The altcoin threads on this forum feel like 6 people all talkin over each other about different topics. Having a different thread for technical issues, trading, marketing, one for each of the planned Cloak products, etc would do wonders to grow this community. Seems like every page on here someone asks the same issue about dll or how to resnyc their wallet.

When these threads get too long its almost impossible to find relative information.

As a matter of fact the main point of this area is to "announce" an altcoin. I doubt the concept of 2000+ page threads were ever looked at by anyone as effective. Most of you making a call about critical mass just care about the price going up which is a short term goal. Long term this thread will be 2000+ pages with zero organization and alot of valuable topics will be lost in the sea of pages. At that point I doubt you or anyone else will be willing to go through each individual page to catalog key points.

I'm not saying to close this thread.. I'm saying let's move the discussion to a format that will bring more long benefits. Plus this is an anonymous coin which is marketed to privacy-oriented individuals. Hosting the main forum here where the owners of bitcointalk freeze your account if you use TOR or i2p then charge a fee to unlock it makes absolutely no sense. Its like trying to promote aethism on an evangelical christian forum.. Just doesnt make much sense.

Or every 10 pages there is a post that demonstrates the cliffs of this project to keep everyone on track.

Oh. True, however I love the idea. I believe the threat of mutual destruction can take over for a central figure. No system is perfect, but I believe the one outlined in the paper is headed to a more ideal solution than paying a percentage to two parties that are just one in disguise( ebay --paypal) whose default action is to place the burden of proof on the seller. I do agree that a secondary forum will become a necessity as an extension of this board.

PoSA Update:

Progress is coming along and the Cloak team is right on target.

On launch we want PoSA to work out the box with no glitches.

For that reason we would like to select 10 people from the community to help us in some testnet sessions.

We are updating our testnet daemons for this purpose right now.

The chosen participants will get access on Sunday (at best) or Monday.

A private IRC will be created for the group selected to be our PoSA testers.

We need some heavies because your only job will be to try and hammer it into the ground and break it!

Applicants please send pm and you'll be notified this weekend if you are invited to be a Cloakcoin PoSA tester.

Glad to hear development progress remains on target. I am eager to see the PoSA testnet results!

Cloakcoin is or Isn't a penny stock? I'm just confused.. Screw the onemarket, if PoSA works as advertised on launch then hold on for a ride, bc if they can do PoSA then Onemarket is achievable.... a decentralized exchange platform has always been the holy grail....just no one has been able to do it, *cough* fucking emunie

Edit: I'm not sure of your angle here...Your exit point should be 200k sats and don't look back, I'll take it from there

I've been doing my own type of marketing. I have been gaming with Cloakcoin as my steam name. Well I'm not sure if it's really marketing, but I hope it draws a few people to Cloak Wink

If you're referring to blackcoiner.com its just a standard website marketplace, its not decentralized.
