Hello Nemsters!

Just a quick update concerning the open alpha.

We’re still on track for the 25th June 2014. However, the code is unlikely to be signed until at least next week (more information about code signing here: http://www.symantec.com/code-signing/java).

Don’t panic; this only means the open alpha will not be one-click install immediately and will start with packages similar to the closed alpha.

A small amount of manual work will be required to get up and running - but do not fear! Quite a few of us involved in the closed alpha have had no problems whatsoever and we are all happy to help out.

A new thread will probably be opened on the NEM Forum for convenience, along with details of how to get involved.

no, the open alpha will run tomorrow but it won't be a one click install, it will take a few simple steps to get it going.

I have asked here with no reply, but i need to know if i can link my NXT account and BCT username to the final stakeholders list?
Secondly, since UF is gone, how do we go about exchanging our NEM stake when the time comes?

I also am trying to find the link to download the open alpha platform.

the alpha wont be open alpha until tomorrow. it was semi open where some people were invited. tomorrow you can download.

do you want to get your nem stake on nxt AE? not sure why you would need to link your nxt account and bitcointalk account username on the final stake holder list?

nem will still be distributed in the same fashion as it would have been with UP. only it will be done by a different person. so no change really

I thought the stakeholder list was established for transparency reasons, thats all.
Anyway i thought it went open alpha today, i must be wrong, our time zone is different here! lol
I take it that its still the same NXT account that UP was using on the AE?
Im not sure what i need to do to exchange it for my NEM thats all.
