Anywhere else? Does that mean a different IP or a different MAC address? IP addresses, even for DSL connections change every few weeks. So that is not a wise decision.
As for different MAC addresses: what to do if the computer crashes, breaks or is stolen?
I meant that the users accessed their accounts only through official web wallet, and haven't risking flagging their pass phrase anywhere else (including their own nodes). On another though, it looks as it won't be realistic at all, hence we indeed don't have a good method to provide 2FA at the moment.

@Devs Are you using Slack as your team management platform? I was going to create a Crypti channel for community members to work on projects to help promote Crypti, but I saw that the domain was already taken, and it corresponds with the Crypti website : We already taken it, access only with crypti.me emails. I don't know, maybe we can change something in settings and make discussion for all.I HIGHLY recommend this. The Crypti IRC channel is dead, and frankly I don't think we should any time on it, secondly most users are split between BitcoinTalk and CryptiTalk and it isn't helping much as our community is divided. I suggest that we make one channel the "hub" for all Crypti communications, and I think Slack is the perfect place for that. Quote from Slack FAQ: By default, anything you post to Slack is private to your team.
Looks like it's not possible to create public channel on Slack, we can still use IRC if all agree, i will try to be online in our IRC all my working time. And maybe we will create now google group for all.

Is 0.1.6 out? I saw posts eluding to its imminent release but I haven't seen an official post.

We decided to add an important feature allowing setting the forging password via UI and encrypt / decrypt it to config file on fly (thus removing the plain-text storage from the config file), to provide both convenience and an increased security for the forgers.
It will be posted once completed and passed tests by our QA, here and on our blog, as usual.
Is there a fix in the interim? I've babysat this blockchain.db rebuild for the past 6 hours. Each time having to stop and start the server again. Sometimes I would try deleting just blockchain.db, sometimes logs.log, sometimes both. Rebooted in between each and still can't get past 4MB's or so on the blockchain.db before it stops building. if I stop and start again it will continue to build but not for long. The only thing I haven't done is scratch the instance and start over. All four of my nodes are doing the same thing on two different cloud platforms and each are in different colo's. informer

Yeah Wulf, we use Redbooth for the majority of task management, but Slack for real-time chat and meetings because it's much better than the built in chat in Redbooth. Ah okay, just a suggestion, if you guys want to upgrade your task management software, take a look at Flow : http://www.getflow.com/, it's much more user and work friendly than RedBooth. Pricing is around the same too.

After the second passphrase, perhaps a one shot try at choosing an icon from a library of 50 icons. Failure results in a 1 hour lockout and an email to the registered users email. The user would have set this icon choice when registering or updating.

The IRC channel is dead because it is has not been clearly advertised (until recently). A friendly and populated IRC channel will help attract new investors. We should not neglect it.

I am having the same problems as you! My only solution has been to use a snapshot of the blockchain from a working node. Starting from scratch is so slow!

Well, this time, if I get it up to date, I'm going to download it. I don't know if you are aware but AWS allows you ftp access without installing a ftp server on it. informer

Suggestion:
The Crypti web site should host a daily blockchain.db file. When a new user downloads the wallet software, they get the latest blockchain.db, and only have to sync for a few minutes.
For older wallets, a library of the blockchain.db for each of the last 10 days will speed up node syncing for those on the wrong fork, or just offline for a few days.

I have some questions:
I want to run a node to forge some XCR via proof of time.
Haow many XCR must I have in that account?
Does the amount of XCR I forge depend on the amount I have in my wallet?
Is there a way to calculate the amount of forged XCR?

1000 XCR is needed in an account to start forging, the amount itself doesnt matter for forging as long as it it over 1000. the amount of forged XCR is listed in the client, i got about 80 blocks so far , and forged about 200 XCR, that would be about 2.25 XCR per block, ( sample size probably not big enough for representative data, waiting for the block explorer for real insight into returns )

Some interesting quotes of GreXX for guys who can listen and think The key here is that we can't start creating true partnerships and talking about apps until we institute Custom Block Chains and know that it is working as expected. We don't want the exposure really until custom block chain functionality is out next month This thing will be bigger then Bitshares-X Litoshi still buys and I'm already 100% invested in Crypti. Don't tell others, be quite Every time I mine enough BTC to make it worth while I put it in an exchange and wait for the faint of heart to go running from a bot sale and scoop up what I can. informer I sent BTC from Mintpal to Cryptsy this AM. It has been 3 hours, and so far only 28 confirmations in the blockchain and no BTC deposit at Cryptsy. This is the biggest fault with BitCoin.... the long transaction times, and why it cannot replace Credit cards for Point-of-Purchase commerce. The BTC credit cards you see advertised, are really fiat cards with your BTC being held by, or already sold by the issuing agency (who then gets a cut of the transaction). XCR can cut out the middleman, save the merchant money, and speed up the transaction to a few seconds. This will be great for the 80% of the world that does not use banks, but have smartphones.

If I remember right, around 880ish? I wouldn't expect any major upwards movement until the short-term dev stuff is done. After the windows wallet + custom blockchains are functional, then things may get interesting.

Cryptsy is sort of broken right now for a lot of people. It's not just the speed of btc. I deposited btc into cryptsy over 2 days ago, and they still don't have it. They said they are working on wallets, or something... beats me what... I just know I sent btc there and it never showed up. It's happened to multiple people the past several days.
