What does the block difficulty depend on? And is there a way to send a few XEM to a friend without him being able to check how much XEM I have, which people I've sent to in the past etc?

You create another account with 0 funds but with harvesting power of your main account. Your money stays in your main account which you are not using for harvesting anymore(so your private key stays safe). The 0-funds account is harvesting and fees are being sent to your main account each time you harvest a block. The private key of 0-funds account is worthless for other people.

I found fault in translation of finnish wallet. Is written "sulje lomakko" when should be written "sulje lompakko". In english "close the wallet" or something. And this if not already fixed. I found something fun in welcome message of wallet. NCC User Interface translation: apex, boestin, Chaos514, DIMKAZDS, filchef, freigeist, Guliver, iaminitnow06, Janea4pda, kuppalahti, Lcharles, martismartis, mess-lelouch, Parana, rigel, Shawn, Spider, 楊 輝彦 I thought his name was Kauppalahti. He is a Finnish person. And Finnish word kuppa mean syphilis. Kuppalahti = syphilis bay. kauppalahti = trade bay. Or am I wrong? I hope that the code is faultless. The typos have already been fixed in the Finnish translation (or all typos that I could spot) of NCC. The pull request has been pending for 4 days now, so it should be updated soon, I think I also found some typos in the Finnish translation of www.nem.io and they have been fixed too, just waiting for them to be accepted now Hyvää duunia! Ei nimittäin ihan helppoa löytää kaikille termeille fiksua käännöstä. Kiitos! Mukavaa saada palautetta. Sitten odottelemaan kurssin nousua....

So what's the deal with fees? Is it possible to send a transaction with zero fees? Or does NEM enforce a minimum transaction fee like NXT currently does? Is there any other way to start the NEM client besides the one at the official website for Windows?
I have excluded NEM from the firewall, but I can't get it started. Nothing happens when I click at 'Launch NEM Wallet.exe'.
Ps. Yes, I did all the steps described by the NEM team.
You could try the standalone version of the client: http://bob.nem.ninja/Download the file called "nis-ncc-0.6.25.zip" and unzip it to a folder in your hard drive (e.g. C:\NEM). Then open the folder and double click on runMon.bat. This should automatically open a browser window containing the wallet. What does the block difficulty depend on? And is there a way to send a few XEM to a friend without him being able to check how much XEM I have, which people I've sent to in the past etc?
I'm curious about this too. From what I can see, it tends to stay between 100 and 150. Now if I had to guess, I'd say that it's a measure of how many coins are harvesting at any given moment. Just like in the case with NXT, if 800,000 coins are forging then difficulty is high. If only 100,000 coins are forging, then difficulty is low and it would be easier to forge a block. Can anyone confirm?

And I can see a shield at my taskbar =)

Is there a way to verify that delegated harvesting is working through my remote node beside that there COULD pop up some blocks under "harvested blocks"?

So not sure if I have done something wrong but I imported my private key but it has a completely different address then before with a zero balance. I checked the address I had received when I got the private key and in block explorer it shows 2225000 nem so how do I get these?
As a note yes I switched to it and made it my primary after importing the private key. When I click on show private key it is the same but the address is not.
it seems like the private key you have is not the private key to your account with your XEM. So this is a big problem. the only way to get those XEM are to have the correct private key by any chance did you use a paper wallet and now you are typing it? it is possible if you go from paper to keyboard that you are not typing something exactly correct.

the popped up harvested blocks are the sure way to know. this is an advanced feature via the "harvest" file in the stand alone but I am not sure how to use it. maybe somebody else can tell you a way

the popped up harvested blocks are the sure way to know. This is part of my problem There aren't any harvested blocks since I activated and started delegated harvesting.. But it's just running for cupple of hours now, so I don't really know if it works.. It looks alright, there is no error or anything.

I Harvested my first block with a fee! (I don't have the client running for 24/7) Wow!You are lucky guy!My 3 blocks with fees gived me 485 XEM. 13 Blocks 12 XEM in fees... Yes he's very lucky! wow, you got very lucky. it seems like some poor guy was trying to beat POI by sending transactions to himself. the main thing he did was make you richer!

Okay, should be alright then I have an account with 2,250,000 XEM (minus some small XEMs I gave out to people) and have been harvest 24/7 since NEM started. I have got 11 blocks for a total of 500 XEM. A lot of those were empty, but some big ones made up for it. That is 500 XEM more I got from other cyptos I harvested on for 9 months. hahahaha
