It went from $80+ million capitalization (sky's the limits) with six figure volume at the time of UP's departure down to today's $10 million capitalization.

Nay, this happened because of FrictionlessCoin departure.

I gotta agree here, the FrictionlessCoins (this plural is no typo) had the biggest positive impact on the price of NXT.

Personally I've never been laughing that much when reading messages on BTT ever again - loads of clowns here but the FCs are still the uncontested kings  Cool

I would set up a node, changed my ports, my server name is displayed on nodeexplorer.com, but still offline and not available. Someone can support me?

In any case, we have some pretty great things in the working and 1 or 2 days from now we'll have a big announcement about stuff.

By the end of this week I think people will start understanding that in some sense our marketing work tries to be very similar to our technical work - which means we are aiming for real quality and are working on some things that have either not been done in crypto or have been done the wrong way. Stay tuned.

So tell us more!  Wink

Importance of 1.6%oo in basis points means an real importance of 0.016%. So your chance is 1:6250 to harvest the next block if all stakeholders are harvesting at the same time. A new block is created every minute therefore you should find a new block every 6250 minutes (about each 10 hours) in average. Since it is unlikely that every stakeholder is harvesting at the same time your chance to find next block increases with each stakeholder which is not harvesting. Thus, the probability should be higher than 0.016% or 1:6250.

Hope that helps!

OK, i have my importance 1.6% but how often should we harvest blocks?

Its not that hard, but i still have no idea what was the problem.

I gave up trying and just moved the client to the another pc and it worked there.

So whatever the problem was, it could very well happen to someone else in the future. And as i've said before - the whole thing is about 10x more user unfriendly compared to btc or other alts.

Sure you can just label anyone who had/have problems with it retarded and lazy, but its probably not the most optimal approach.

we have barely launched a week... you may be right.. but you need to take into consideration how stable the network is AT launch compared to the vast majority of alts at their launch. stable and secure network is more important than an easy to use client.. no point it being so easy to use a 5 year old could use if its not secure and the network is hanging together by a thread..

This is what NEM also needs; http://jnxt.org/jay/

I personally have an importance of about 1%oo (chance 1:10000) but harvesting a block every 1100-2400 blocks in average with only a stake of 225k. That's pretty awesome and shows that fairness of that coin. My client is currently running 24/7.

I think NEM has easily the most user friendly client I've encountered in crypto. Very easy to install (at least as a standalone) and the user interface hasn't got too many buttons to try. Everything simply just works, and in addition looks neat too. It clearly is a product that could be very well used by the ordinary people already.

It would just be enough if the default configuration were set up to use remote NIS and not showing some abilities up by default (it makes bloody f...ng user disoriented and overloaded by huge amount of informations being shown). E. G. the harvesting ability doesnt need to be at main page, its not so important ability for normal user and it could be in its own cathegory at left side.
OF course the security is important (against rogue NIS possibility).

Another notices:

- remove the annoying popping of NIS changing sometimes color from orange to green while synchronization and spamming while working (win client)
- debug the harvesting process
- add a clear possibility to watch (from any wallet if being installed at more places) if the account is (anywhere) harvesting or not and add a green / red button that it really harvest (any kind of confirmation from the whole network, i havent found any block last 24 hours and i cant say if its done by a poor luck or just by harvesting not running in reality)
- better explanation what NIS and NCC is and what it does

In Pump and Dump we trust.

From what I can gather the installer works well too. It's just MAC users that seem to have problems. That's what happens when none of the devs have a MAC Grin

For me the the experience with installer vs Webstart was like day and night. The only downside is that there is no auto-update right now (Webstart did that for you).

Installer worked well for me apart from I got into the habbit of just deleting the NEM folder rather than uninstall. Leaves the registry entry there so can't re-install since it's already 'installed'.  Roll Eyes
