sorry guys to be a pain

still the same issue on harvesting

now NIS an NCC are connected and sechronized

I see delegate harvesting is active on the top right on the "importance score"

but when I click on strat delegate harvest I get "error 699"

I guess i'm not harvesting or m'I?

what should I do?

It means you're already harvesting on that node. Did you start harvesting locally ?
You can harvest delegated and locally on one node unless you raise the account limit in the config file.

ok maybe i'm harvesting locally but how do I stop? and how do I see if I'm harvesting or not?

I seriously can not believe that only BloodyRookie had the self-respect to NOT entertain that FUCKIN' LEGENDARY-TROLL!?!?!   Shocked

Good Job with the humiliating sarcasm,  brotha!!!   Grin

...what a FUCKIN' DISSERVICE to Nxt he has become...

I am afraid that I have to agree!! Just having lead DEV of NXT (trolling or saying anything else here) pretty much shows the current state of NXT!!

Your reasoning is perfectly valid with few buts...

1) he would have to convince "quite a few" users, to actually make this successful. If one person is able to do that we're doomed anyway (same in NXT)
2) it does not work like "power leasing", so attacker actually needs to generate block using every key == waste of time and resources, while meanwhile main chain is going forward...

1) So a successful socio-engineering attack would work. This is bad, because an attacker may place 5 different services on the Internet and target average Joes. It's not the same in Nxt, forged fees don't go to the owner automatically forcing average Joes to care about trustworthiness of the server owner.
2) "Waste of time and resources"? I doubt it's that hard to harvest with 1000 accounts at once, PoI has PoS in its core, not PoW.

It should be a lesson from history that you can't demean CfB into silence, you have to answer his criticism directly until there is a resolution or an agreement to disagree  Wink We should just watch the grown ups work   Grin

But if I understand correctly, "power leasing" merges leased power, so it's even easier, as you only need to generate one block in NXT, right?

Acting hostile towards other coin developers or users in general who don't quite understand every aspect of NEM yet doesn't make you any better and does a disservice to NEM.

Try to explain it in a calm and reasonable tone until their doubt is gone. If you can't then just don't say anything. Everything else is just counter productive.

Yes. But difference between generating with 1 or 1 million accounts is just a few second work for CPU. How fast is harvesting? Not much slower I think?

Yeah OK...  like choosing the day of the launch to hijack the FUCKIN' THREAD was totally incidental...   Roll Eyes

So what? Even if it wasn't ...

Respond with facts instead of insults and namecalling. NEMsters need to start educating now and spread the word. If you start a hostile rampage it only reflects badly on the community.

My guess right now is that you guys somehow managed to activate both local and remote harvesting or at least the client thinks so.
Klick on stop harvesting (remote or local what ever you see right now). Maybe then the button for the other type of harvesting will re-appear and then you can stop that as well. Then choose one type and one type only and start that.

Hi, sorry that I didn't reply promptly.

Your conspiracy theory about me hijacking NEM thread on the day of the launch is quite interesting. Now I suspect that your story about Simcoin et al. colluding against you was just another conspiracy theory. How many theories do you have left?

there is no avg for that. It depends on a lot of things.

Could you post a screenshot of the client as you see it right now ?

also try to stop the software (ncc and nis) and restart it. Maybe that will bring the stop button back since the client seems to be confused right now since you clicked both.

I quitted Nxt more than half year ago. Now I'm involved in all innovative cryptoplatforms, my main job is analyzing their security and disturbing creators with questions how they plan to fix the found issues.

ok so important question now if you don't mind
so how do you see the future of NXT ? I mean it's around a long long time, was probably the first 2.0 crypto innovator, but not many people seem to give a damn about Nxt in a positive sense whereas Nem is getting all the attention now (at least temporarily). Does that upset you or could you care less?

Do you need to wait 6 hours to appear on http://nembex.nem.ninja/#nodes

I have set a node name in settings, but I don't see it on the list.

I only created the wallet an hour ago or less and began the wait to start delegated harvesting.
