the 18% diff jump should be correct over long term.

Only for a few more months. 6-12 months out, we'll be seeing under 18% jumps regularly.

6-12 months out we could be seeing:

bitcoin regulation

bitcoin usurped by another coin with better PoW power efficiency

huge increase in the price of energy

another hack that finally destroys confidence in the infrastructure

a bitcoin fork to improve maximum transaction rate and validation times

rampant greed amongst remaining mining conglomerates

etc, etc, etc

That whole MegaPIGpower bullshit I am hearing is unsettling.  How are they even getting that kind of hashpower with Bitfury chips?  ugh...

Their not, speculation and wishful thinking from Mega most likely. It seems unlikely in the near future they will even contribute half the hashing power each month that has been speculated.

But we'll soon see I guess :s

How about an alien invasion for our water?

Or  global warming   speeds up so fast all the ice melts out in under 6-8 weeks.  BTW this one does scare me a bit. But I guess more like 2 decades.

You know what I like about Bitmain ?

They never bitch if their thread goes off-topic and the shills are civil.

More than you can say about Spondooles.

Well the sp10's and sp30's are sold with a completely different method and with different style of miners then the s-1 or s-3.

BTW I have now found a second post  to agree with you.

oh and  and back on topic  did you buy one or 2  s-3's  like I did or did you stay on the sidelines.

S3 is still too expensive, especially when delivery is not immediately.
I hope they will release coupons soon !

Damn guys, a couple of days ago we have talked about 0.99 as "super cheap, probably bitmain will never do it on launch", price was been even lower and there is still someone really pissed off

That was assuming it would be shipping immediately, not 10-20 days after ordering

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Their not, speculation and wishful thinking from Mega most likely. It seems unlikely in the near future they will even contribute half the hashing power each month that has been speculated.

But we'll soon see I guess :s

they can achieve ~0.6w/GH by underclocking the rev.2 55nm chip. If they repeated the design successfully on 28nm wafers they would be looking at 0.2-0.3W/GH when undervolting or 0.3-0.4w/GH at higher clockrates. The PCB design is absolutely elegant, with the design able to run MANY chips (likely far more than 16) in a series, or even operating chips in parallel at 12V eliminating the heat and cost of voltage regulators in the design.

MBP is absolutely the #1 leader in bitcoin mining, but they have been fairly quiet about it so far. The recent franchising talk goes to show that they are capable of producing more hardware than they can operate themselves, and their washington facility is not just a little backroom for testing - it must account of over 5% of the bitcoin network right now

I am waiting with great anticipation for my order place on the first day.

I sent a  good plus trust for you today for the 11 s-1's I purchased from you.

I am hoping to be able to send a good  plus trust for my s-3 order very soon.  Thanks for being a decent seller.

Rather they see the writing on the wall that quick profits from mining are soon to be over and it's easier just to sell hardware/services to recoup capital and have a faster turnover.

And wouldnt be easier for bitmain, to start shipping batch 1 right now? If they are already in batch 3... why wait till 10th july to start shipping batch 1? hope they start shipping batch 2 ASAP... , 2-4 days after shipping batch 1... hope thats 14-15 th july or sooner
