Start first batch production tomorrow? . I thought they had all units produced and just needed to be delivered omg so if 1st batch starts delivering 14 we have delays when will we receive 2nd batch then?
My thoughts exactly. well they sais 14 or before, but.... dates for 2nd batch?? and 3rd batch guys will receive S3 on august? xD Please deliver 2nd batch fast oskruo, please take it easy. Everything is on track, as we have sold the B1 as "delivering between 10th and 20th". As we can make a steady running sample machine, it is nearly risk free for us to promise a shipping date, and then we opened the sales. We will ship as we stated.

Yes, we have been mining with one S3 testing sample on our engineer's desk. But we have not been able to do a large mining farm with S3 yet. We have been using S2 machine to deploy a mining farm, and that is how we own the hash rate.
Hope that these words are genuine I was actually hoping they were mining with s3s so that when they do ship the network hash rate doesnt go through the roof instead of just being reallocated this will equal less roi

Check.

Yeah, i wouldnt care if they mined with my S3 as long as they used my pool user and pass and of course discount a % for electricity cost, but at least i would receive something on the waiting period since i payed (if they were mining with S3 of course), if they are not, just with 1 for testing its ok, but i suppose they must test every unit at least a few hours to see everything is ok. Sorry bitmain its just that this is my 1st order in your website and dont know how this works have 2 S1 but bought them on ebay I will just relax and wait for my 2 S3

If whatever company have the admittedly massive capacity to mine with everyones gear before shipping, then they can do so for US.

Yes, but at the end of the day a company isn´t a charity but it is there to turn a profit. Apart from that, the massive organisation required would be through the roof.

Again I agree they aint no charity. They have produced equipment which they sell to customers at a profit. why then, after I pay for something, should they continue to use it for their own purposes? After all, I technically own that equipment. Up until I pay, thats not my goods to control. AFTER I pay; thats a different matter.

They can do with the unit what they want until they ship it to you, which is when ownership is transferred to you.
They can mine on it to make sure it is stable, or play football with it as long as you get your working unit shipped by the agreed date.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one.

Exactly, only if they keep mining with your gear after order is placed and they delivery goes past an agreed date can a customer really start complaining.

I have 14 Kw in my home that is ear marked for S3... now I just need some BTC to purchase with :-)
I just need Bitmain to to stop mining with my miners and ship it! . If I get a used miner I'm temped to send it back to them. It's like buying a new car that has 10,000 miles on it. FAQ: Are you mining with S3 now?Yes, we have been mining with one S3 testing sample on our engineer's desk. But we have not been able to do a large mining farm with S3 yet. We have been using S2 machine to deploy a mining farm, and that is how we own the hash rate. The bulk PCB will be arriving tonight, and we will start first batch production tomorrow. First batch usually takes a longer time than later. We may ship the S3 -B1 on or before 14th. YES BITMAIN YES... PEOPLE HERE WE GOOOOOOOO

Anyone know how loud the S3 is and what kind of heat it puts out? I mean it's only 366 watts at the wall, right? I'm just wondering if those fans are loud or not and it is spits out a lot of heat. Do you need to have air conditioning on or this unit is able to cool itself with its fans? I'm assuming those fans are in a push/pull configuration, just pushing the air through.
And do you think one RM1000 power supply can power 2 of these? I use the Corsair RM1000 on my KNC and it has been a very good power supply with plenty of connections.

okay based on the s-1 1 you may be able to manage the heat. 2 you will need ac or get the air out of the house via a vent. This is for summer 80F or higher outdoor temps. They will be loud at over clock. speeds. They will be so so for noise at 475 hash They will be quiet at 400 speed underclocked. My setup below: I plan to run 2 at 400gh each due to my unusual power situation. I use a friends office space. I can do under 800 watts at 3-4 cents a k-watt and fans must be quiet. This 2 will replace 3 s-1's I ran 3 s-1's at 420gh total using 560 watts of power in his office for about 2 months. I paid 1.15btc for the 3 units they mined 1.01btc I sold them for .6 btc so btc roi was done 1.61 - 1.15 = .46btc power used was 810 k-watts or about 32 usd. in btc. .05 so .46btc - .05 = .41btc profit. USD was higher as btc was 440 and turned into 620 during this time period.

Hope that these words are genuine
It would actually been better for all S3 buyers if they were already running the hardware, now it just means more stuff will be added than simply moved around. Add the fact of S3 being a new design and any issues/bugs would have been detected if they had been running them for a few weeks before shipping out.

the more things change the more they stay the same back in octocber I needed to spend 21K USD ~1.2 TH to get 1.1 btc per day. Even with the Antminers awesome low price I would now need 70 Antminers ~35TH to get 1BTC/day. about 31K USD plus PSU's

So Bitmain simply shipping out x PH/s of the current network is somehow worse for the expected roi of the s3 rather than adding x PH/s to the network? One option will increase the hash power directly and the other will not, I know which one I would have preferred.
