Whoops. Sorry guys, I posted it a little too soon! I didn't realize it was still work in progress But good feedback so far anyways. We definitely want to make the questions and answers engaging. That's why we ask for your input. Do you have any questions you would like answered? Just list them and I will put them in my next list. Thanks! a few more more or less random thoughts: What is interesting about this podcast is you guys, not the way you produce radio shows. Videlicet has a very unique speech and thought pattern, that's what makes the show....also what makes your coin. the MLK quotes are great but way too long. Keep them, but less is more. same with the music. Make layers of sound, mostly you're playing one track at a time. When you segue bring in the new clip before the old one fades out. Don't dilly dally. It's nice to give us a moment before a new phase or train of thought, but a tiny moment is all that we need; we'll hit pause if we want to. Mic technique is ok, but you can get much richer voices. There are great clones of Neuman ( and other) microphones available very cheaply. My question re Nexus: what role can Nexus play in crypto world that seems will become dominated by etherum and it's closed source clones ?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Thank you for the very helpful feedback. I agree with you. I will need to setup a recording device, I do have a good microphone and Videlicet has a good one as well. I will set it up. My question re Nexus: what role can Nexus play in crypto world that seems will become dominated by etherum and it's closed source clones ?
Keep in mind we are building Nexus for the long-term. This is a life long project for us now, we will maintain the network and have our own blockchain and build some amount of commerce around the the Nexus blockchain token, currently known as Niro. As you can see from politics of Bitcoin, it's very hard to make big changes to a network protocol once a lot of users are using it and invested in it. So, right now, we are building Nexus slowly but with much discussion and feedback from a small community. Nexus is a super secure, super decentralized network protocol with a mechanism for continued development. We are building the Nexus blockchain, we are building the real long-term strong community, and we are building a protocol for which we can develop applications. Our plan is to eventually hire more coders. We do plan to fund Nexus development, and the developer keys are what allow us to afford to do that. We are already partnering with many people for different projects utilizing land and business. It's all long-term, community usage.

Good Info, have a basic condenser mic routed through m-audio fast track ultra that I use to record my music, routed Patrick through to his own channel, but he was using a basic headset. Will get better, removed from soundcloud until I release new version. Once we get it dialed in on what everybody likes we will continue on that same template. This podcast should be considered beta until we tune in the content and style to that we are going for.
The biggest thing is freeing ourselves from an oppressive system. How this comes about should be elucidated in these podcasts as the history of the ideals and how they develop.
If you would like to give input on this first podcast PM me, and I'll send you a link of the original. I want to dial this in as something people can listen to as something that helps them realize the vision of what we are doing, and how it will bring change to the world as we know it. More input == more output.
The true change comes from us choosing a different way, the question then lies in, what way shall we all go?
Thank You, Viz.

The way I'm re-activing trust keys is if you send them, and you produce a block within one day of the update time lock. Release coming soon, reactivated trust keys that have good track record will be considered "grandfather trust keys", or in other words, they are the original trust keys that dedicated much of their time and resources in the most difficult time to hold a trust key, while we iron out the expiration times. I'd like to award those that managed to keep their keys active for the most part, so I'll allow them to reactivate, and your trust and age will be based on the time of the last block that key produced to build trust again after time lock. I'll figure out any additional benefits these grandfather keys should have, any ideas / suggestions ? So if you send me your trust key, make sure to send the most active one Thank You,Viz.

If you do, send me that key and I'll make sure it stays active. If you continue to stake during the update and your key hasn't ever expired you'll still have the same interest rate.
Maybe I should make another class of trust keys, ones that have never expired prior to update and were created before 2016, ones that got reactivated from update, and new trust keys post update. What do you guys think?
Thank You, Viz.

I have maintained my trust key since Npos launch day, but I am curious what would be the reasoning behind different types of trust keys? And just to make sure I understand correctly If I leave my current wallet staking while I am away the interest rate would just stay static until I upgraded when I return, I should be able to update by remotely accessing my rig but being on holidays it would be nice to have a safety net.

skunk,
I'll make you an RPC call so you can dump your trust keys sorted by the highest trust in descending order. When I make the commit I'll let you know.
-------------------------
everyone,
I have sped up the loading, cleaned up some superfluous debug info, so forth. When ready, I'll release a public testnet bin to test the new trust system, so we can make sure it works as it should before full release, then once satisfied with functionality we can move to public release with time-lock activation.
Should I also put some time into developing a critical mass activation, such as, instead of it being based on mined blocks being of new version to enforce rules, we can create a registry protocol with the LLP to have all nodes report their connected nodes to each other, and create a time-lock of 3-5 days after 95% of nodes are registered to the newest update. That way it won't be a race to update, and will also depend on users choosing to upgrade for the new updates to activate.
This could eventually be moved to trust keys where trust keys sign messages of all their nodes and status of the upgrade, so the trust keys will become the core tier, which I call the Trust Network. The trust network will have multiple tiers such as Mining Keys and Stake Keys. The lowest tier would then be light nodes that access the Trust LLP to get recent blocks and transactions and verify their balance through the trust network.
Also what do you guys think of trust keys being put into mining LLP, which means when activated mining rewards will decrease if you don't have trust, but your trust will build with mining key giving you the same rewards if you continually mine. This will give higher rewards to consistent miners rather than the same reward to miners that hop on and off the network. Think higher reward should definitely go to more dedicated miners. Any thoughts?
Thank You, Viz.

A way round this would be to leave a small gpu mining all the time, whilst additionally, hoping on & off with much more hash when diff level is appealing?

Hmm so maybe mining trust keys can have trust based on how many blocks they produce per day vs how many blocks that channel should have produced, if they dedicate more hash power their trust builds faster.
This would need to be limited to a top threshold though to prevent 51% from getting trust, maybe trust is reduced if you produce multiple blocks in a row to prevent what a 51% attack would harm, as in creating your own string of blocks that overtake main chain. What do you think?
Thank You, Viz.
