Should the wallet run on Raspberry PI? My cousin is selling one, I hold this currency so I’d like to make sure it runs fine before buying it. And even though Raspberry is cheap I want to make sure first

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

its had a pretty good price jump the past couple hours this could be the start of it, maybe a slow steady growth hopefully til it gets closer to the end of that 2 weeks for segwit activation to be complete.

Depends what your looking at miner support past 576 blocks is back under 75% people seem to be paying more attention to that at the moment

I recommend buying with CNY off of OKCoin where LTC is just 66.09 CNY! You could easily buy a couple tens of thousands at those prices of approximately $9 USD.

Electrum is a fantastic wallet if you're just looking for a quick solution otherwise you could download Core but it takes days to sync.

I personally can not trust for open position at this time. There seems to be a lack of motivation.

i have a ledger nano s which includes a litecoin wallet. i presume the cheaper ones do as well.

and why would it be cheaper on there? oh yeah, it's completely impossible to withdraw it. sounds like a great plan to me.

Litecoin is such a coin that I would never spend. I'll just hold them until Bitcoin's price skyrocket and so as Litecoin's. This is a coin that I'll keep stored in a paper wallet for future generations

This year is definitely year of alts! This including LTC, maybe it is not best one but still has much potential for pumps and dumps (for earnings). Im listening stories about "LTC is dead" etc from 3$ per coin, what happened? BTC is ok LTC is even better!

Not to drop a rock on anyone's parade, but I just took a look at Segwit's support on the LTC network: It has dropped from ~80% a few days ago (est) to 63.7% support in the last 24 hours. No, 63.19%.

http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php

Segwit miner support within the last 24 hours (last 576 blocks)   364 (63.19%)
Segwit miner support (percentage of segwit blocks signaling within the current activation period)   1750 (76.29%)

What's happening? Not sure, but apparently a big boost in hashing power is coming online from somewhere.

Hm.

(Edited since I don't know where things are mining to, this is all pretty new on the LTC network)

I wonder where they are all mining to.

Fuck.

Bitmain. Evil geniuses. The plan imho.

1) tell everyone you don't use asic boost that gives you 33% advantage. It's a lie.

2) look like you are walking away from seg witness which reinforces 1) above.

3) with that in place offer crap load of miners. At, in hindsight too cheap a price.

4) put up cloud flare on your site to protect the bitmain sales page from ddos attacks. That will come
in the future.

5) ramp up production to stop seq witness dead and add to that every L3 or L3+ sold at full price
and paid back. Pays for 2 more L3+s in their data hall. In that they control most asic
They could do this a long time

6) then assuming the whole point of this's dog and pony show was to stop seq witness
for keeping 33% gain/edge to themselves.

7) also this manipulation makes it too werid for other mnfg scrypt pow to build
and at 2 to themselves because the profits of that one sale to you, can adjust amounts to the world
because bitmain is too big to fail as mostly only maker of asic's

Cool cloudflare ddos is already in place for backlash.

Thus can have it all. Then when settles out you own pow scrypt

Bruhahaha (evil laugh)

So too recap. Cheat, fake retreat, sell 1 get 2 asic's back off profit for own use. Attack
With even more hash. Win and keep cheat and drive all from the field in victory

Then of course retrench in position by, after say doubling difficulty 2x slow stop miners
sold to others to keep your win secure

Damn

edit: I was wrong..bitmain is even more evil then I thought not 2 miners for him for every 1 to us..he is keeping them all

seems a firmware problem is delaying the next batch times

how frigging lucky he is huh Wink

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/661ycw/more_jihan_games_litecoin_miners_which_were_due/

So bitmain will stop seg witness...probably at least double if not triple the difficulty do so....then we get our miners after that

nice to know I paid for 4 miners to 'go pure evil' for bitmain and its killing of seg witness
