I don't have access to this kind of hardware. What you could try is to open a web browser and point it to your miner:
http://YOUR-BITAXE-IP/api/system/info

Please share the output from this with me via PM or mail. Thanks!

Hey Patrike, I appreciate you adding the ability to auto-add miners and perform a perpetual scan... Some things I've noticed, it appears as though it doesn't work properly? It's arranged under adding a new miner and you have to add criteria for miners you add? It feels as though this should be it's only function unrelated to manually adding a miner and maybe add custom criteria to incrementally change miners added, then permanently adjust them if they're ever changed via MAC address (so AM always knows which is which).

Also, while this has some technology overlap, when using MAC address identification please have the software set the IP address and remembered settings of the miner when it shows up again. Such as if the software or firmware changes. I understand you could use static addresses on your router, or with a active directory, however this combines the functionality all in one place and ties it specifically to AM. Makes overall management easier.

Using the autoscan and add function, you could also immediately assign a new miner to a IP range specifically for miners and have them statically present. Routers are not smart enough to understand what devices are being added to the network.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

Thanks for the feedback.

Is your question about "Run rule after adding miner"? That one is optional to use and only required if you want to run actions of a rule - for example to send a notification once new miners are added. It doesn't affect how new miners are identified and it doesn't affect the MAC/IP mappings.

Please note that "MAC address identification for network discovery" setting is only used in combination with Automatic Network Discovery, where Awesome Miner scans the network for new miners in the background. When enabled, all External Miners within the specified IP address range will automatically be updated in case of and IP address change. If the IP address of a miner changes, the External Miner object will be updated with the new IP address. This way Awesome Miner will automatically handle IP address changes for your miners - as longs as the MAC address remains the same.

I guess I don't fully understand the context.

The Automatic Miner Discovery should just add new miners, right? But in order to use it, you have to click Add > then fill out criteria as if you were manually adding a new miner. You can't leave the remote agent IP address/hostname blank for instance. But that should be added, when automatically discovered? And would be different for each miner being added.

Please note that the Auto discovery feature only works with ASIC miners and uses the defined IP ranges to search for ASIC miners on the network. Based on this Awesome Miner will update the list of External Miners and if needed also update the IP address of these External Miners in case of IP address changes (MAC address identification feature).

The concept doesn't work for finding Remote Agents or anything related to GPU/CPU miners.

If you have a single site you update the "Local" entry and configure it for automatic discovery. In this case it's you local Awesome Miner installation that will search the network for new ASIC miners and add/update External Miners based on this.

If you use a distributed setup with additional Remote Agents, configured as Remote Proxy, you can also configure each of them for automatic discovery. On each site the Remote Proxy will scan for new ASIC miners and add/update the list of External Miners in Awesome Miner based on this.

The Managed Host represents from where the network scan will be performed. If a Remote Proxy finds an ASIC miner, the new External Miner object will use this Remote Proxy for monitoring of the new miner as well.

Got it, not quite intuitive.

So to use it you go Managed Hosts > Local (which is your local client) > Auto discovery.

I was under the impression it was a standalone feature that just works on the client, but management is on a intranet level and you're looking at 'sites' under Managed Hosts, Local being the local client site.

I assume remote proxies would also show up in this list if I had any, which are other sites?

Thanks for the feedback.

Are you running a client-server setup, where you connect with only the client user interface from another computer? In the Options dialog, Managed Hosts section, the entry "Local" is referring to the Awesome Miner server in this case. The client application doesn't connect to any miners, proxies or anything else. It's just a view of what's on the server. For this reason, "Local" is referring to the server.

In case you run Remote Proxies for distributed sites each of them are represented as a Managed Host. Each of these hosts (including Local) can be configured with auto discovery. Each of the hosts can be responsible for management of all miners of a site.

Hello, I have always used the awesome miner under Windows, but at some point I decided to try Linux. I installed Debian 12 and then the avesome linux service. But now, I do not see any statistics from the srbminer. The console tab is an empty black window. No statistics from the client. But miner iself is working fine. I looked - port 4028 is open. I tried the same and got the same result on Ubuntu. The screen debian package is installed. What could be the problem?

Edit: Please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD add the ability to lock the columns, rows, spacing, sorting, and miner order. Locking the UI may seem like a small change, but oh god if you accidentally resort one of the columns it can literally destroy all of your workflow. Thanks.

Thanks for your question.

Could you please send me the following (you can for example send via the link below)
https://www.awesomeminer.com/contact

1) Start the miner via the Diagnostics button in the toolbar and share the output with me

2) Start the miner normally, wait a minute and then collect the API Report via toolbar Tools -> API Report and also the Remote Agent log file via Tools -> Log files -> Remote Agent.

is it possible for awesomeminer to pull data from bitaxes?
Awesome Miner doesn't have any support for this today.

ok. what would it take for this to be possible?
I don't have access to this kind of hardware. What you could try is to open a web browser and point it to your miner:
http://YOUR-BITAXE-IP/api/system/info

Please share the output from this with me via PM or mail. Thanks!

apologize for the delay - was out of town. When I do as you suggest it just brings up the axeos page with a dashboard.  would it help if I got you a bitaxe?
