So, uh bud, I just updated to the newest version and for some reason the 'default ASIC Web/API username/pass' that are setup under the miner settings literally do not work for miners anymore. Luckily I was around and caught it right as curtail came through.

None of my miners shut off, still going to get a higher power bill because of this. I had to manually set credentials for all the miners with a bulk edit. Even reset the credentials in the boxes to see if it would fix it and it does not. If you toggle manual credentials off and on, it seems to work momentarily then breaks again.

It seems to effect Generic/Antminer firmware. Braiins was unaffected.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

Thanks for your report. Were all the miners Bitmain stock firmware or did any of them run Vnish-based firmware?

Could you please send me the API report (toolbar: Tools -> API Report) for one of these miners (via PM or mail) and I can check if Awesome Miner doesn't detect the miner type correctly - and as a result doesn't handle the default password as it should.

Vnish exclusively. Braiins was unaffected best I can tell. Nailing down the exact criteria seems to be difficult to duplicate, because sometimes it works, but 99% of the time it does not. That's what makes it weirder. Fiddling with the custom username/pass sometimes will make the default one start working.

DM sent.
