So we moved from Big things in October to This Quarter ..  are u fucking kidding me.

I don't see anything new in GitHub the % in projects are Frozen since it came up Op still has dead links. >https://alcurex.org/index.php/crypto/market?pair=nav_btc<

I'm not buying another NAV until I see some actual progress this is bullshit.

Nice to see some kind of progress going on but sure hope your not implying we are going to be waiting til jan-Mar time frame which is what "big things coming for navcoin in the next quarter" implies if taken literally.  If was meant to be literal things will get a whole lot worse before they get any better.

Hi guys,

I have updated some of the links in the OP as requested by sluppy.

In regards to my comment, I don't mean in Jan - March 2016 sorry. That was bad phrasing on my behalf. All I meant is that the the near future is looking good for Nav. We are making progress in our work and we are all looking forward to releasing it to the wild as it matures.

All the best,
Pakage

Scheduled Maintenance of Anon Network

Dear Navajo Coin Community!

I am writing to inform you that soon we will be taking the anonymous network temporarily offline to perform scheduled maintenance.

The upgrade being performed is one of the steps towards decentralizing the anonymous network.

The scheduled maintenance will begin at 18:00 NZDST Thursday 15th of October 2015 and service will hopefully resume within 2 hours if everything goes to plan.

During this period anyone attempting to send coins anonymously will get a simple message saying the server is down for maintenance.

I reassure you that I am committed to this project and am busy working towards our common goals.

The next quarter is going to a big one for Navajo Coin.

Best Regards
- Pakage

Scheduled maintenance is now under way.

Anyone attempting to use the anon network should receive the message "Network down for scheduled maintenance" in their wallet when they click send.

I will post again once its back online. Shouldn't be more than a couple of hours.

Just attempted to send a single NAV anonymously to cryptsy and I'm receiving a dialog box indicating unable to locate an anonymous node.  I have a feeling maybe you just tried sending without anon. enabled perhaps?

Yeah, i have hot spot through my phone so I'm on a different IP and i get the "We were unable to locate an active Anonymous node, please try again later."

This isn't the message I setup but perhaps I'm not parsing the returned message to the screen which is a bit of a derp.. but its not the end of the world.

Will look at fixing that in the next release so we can display a range of messages in that alert box.

Anyone attempting to use the anon network should receive the message "Network down for scheduled maintenance" in their wallet when they click send.

I will post again once its back online. Shouldn't be more than a couple of hours.

Scheduled maintenance has been completed.

Everyone can once again send Anonymous transactions.

Maintenance Report:

Estimated Downtime: 2 hours
Actual Downtime: 6 hours

Events:

Added IP restriction.
Moved error logging from MySQL to text based log files.
Removed several dependencies to make server code easier to install when distributed.
Unified configuration options to a single file to make server code easier to configure when distributed.
Removed 100k per batch limit on the server, server will now process up to however many subchain coins it has available.
Re-factored some functions to gain extra performance.
Pruned all dead functions and testing scripts.
Restarted the navajocoind and navajoanonsubchaind daemons on all servers.
Ran tests to confirm that the changes hadn't broken anything.
Removed IP restriction.

It's past midnight here, so I'm off to bed. Work in the morning. Let me know if you have any issues sending transactions.

See you soon,
Pakage

I don't know whats worse, the pointless cheerleading or the spam.

Its 2 weeks since soopys "coming days, october" post and still nothing.....

No change on percentages etc. etc.

If the devs can't even be arsed to post on here about anything except "have patience" every few weeks, then how can the wider world take this seriously.  Angry

Unfortunately your frustration is justified and I have no doubt it is secretly shared with even the biggest supporters (and cheerleaders) of the coin.

The whole progress report endeavor seems to have silently died. Lets just hope its not due to lack of progress but simply lack of time or boredom on their part.

The situation is very similar to just before anon was released and everyone was pleasantly surprised. If the release does not make the october (unofficial, by soopy) deadline I expect us to be on our way to 300 again. Slowly but surely. Hopefully something good is coming up because nothing has really been released for months.

I really don't mean to downplay the effort spent on the site, forum and pool, but let's be honest here. Nobody cares about those as they are either redundant (forum, slack) or simply useless by now (pool).
The only thing supporters care about is the technology (and that because it will lead to profit).

On the bright side, the whole block/stake thing seems to be returning towards the norm. Still has some way to go though. I wonder if it fixed it self or if the devs found the cause.

I just want to stand up and re-assure everyone that despite the FUD and the dumpers, the people that matter are still here. Our core investors are still onboard, our dev team is still working on the coin.

At this very moment I am refining the Anon transaction system. Shahim is working on a web & mobile wallet. Soopy is fixing that merkle root issue.

After that, I am going to build the anon node re-distributable for people to run and we have a bunch of other good ideas up our sleeve.

We have a bright future.

This is just the beginning.

Talk soon,
Pakage

Hmmm a link to a richlist that is 3 months out of date? And OMFG! that post was MARCH!!!!!! FFS! March! what has everyone been doing since march?

Stop with the BS cheerleading!

Why are then devs so hellbent on quashing everything everyone says with the words FUD?
DELIVER WHAT YOU SAID YOU WOULD DELIVER!!!!! that will stop OUR FUD! oh and maybe come on YOUR forum once a month to say hi - we are doing x. Instead of nothing for months. Do you honestly think we don't have reasons to bitch and moan?
