I'm pretty sure there will be more freerolls!  Take care!

When they accidentally took 14 Bitcoin for the BBJP when it didn't actually exist, they used it for a freeroll instead of returning it to the players.(You can read about that here.)

Theyve admitted to using the money they confiscated from cheaters for a freeroll promotion instead of returning it to the victims.(you can read about that here)

Perhaps they will use the money that should be paid back directly to the players from taking too much rake for over a month.

Its probably well over 10 BTC.

Maybe youll get a 20 BTC freeroll or more!

Based on my understanding the BBJ is currently active and will be paid out if hit.  I will get back to you about the other links mentioned.  Please understand that English is a 2nd language to certain support members and there may have been misunderstandings.  As far as I know most of my players and personal friends are beyond satisfied with the Poker Room and the WPN Shared Tournaments.  I understand your frustration, but Betcoin does have the right to make changes to promotions.  I would suggest that you resolve your issues via live chat.  Thanks!
[/b]

No rush, just wanted to make sure you haven't forgotten.  (or maybe I missed you getting back?)

Will you still be getting back to me?  These are serious issues and there's tons of proof that I'm not just making shit up.

You seem to have gone from genuinely concerned to only responding to me with irrelevant facts to completely ignoring me.

Since my last request, there has been a new problem which will likely be made much worse because of how betcoin handles it.

Darkdays has already mentioned it, and you haven't responded to him either.

Due to recent phishing emails which look nearly identical to authentic support emails please visit this page for more info and stay safe:

Hey, how did those phishing emails know everyone's correct username?  Seems like you couldn't know that without access to the Betcoin database, right?

I can understand if you're worried Betcoin will somehow punish you for speaking against them.  But ignoring serious issues and only responding to the "i love betcoin" posts is irresponsible.

Twitchy, I'm not ignoring you.  It's just that this is a busy time of the year and everyone's got a lot obligations.  I did actually go over some of your content but I didn't really know what the central complaint you have which was why I didn't know how to respond.  Seems like some of the problems were regarding being attacked by another player via some vulnerability you had on your end.  As you know since, there has been many updates to improve the platform and refunds were made to the players that were attacked.

I apologize for assuming you were ignoring me and accusing you of such.

To be clear, my central complaint is about Betcoins dishonest/unethical behavior and their lack of transparency.  I feel they should hold themselves to the same standards as any regulated casino.  The fact that they aren't regulated shouldn't make unethical practices acceptable.

There have been many issues which have have resulted in some or all Betcoin players being owed money.  To be clear, I understand that shit happens and that there will always be these types of issues on any site.  My complaint is how they are handled.

When many players are owed money by Betcoin, if they decide to pay anyone at all, it will often be only those who complain - usually one at a time privately by negotiation where they pull a number out of the air rather than figure out the actual debt.

If only a few complain they might just keep the money and respond to the issue in some way that makes the majority think it's no big deal.

There are many examples of this behavior.  One of them is the how they handled the situation when they realized they were raking much more than they intended to according to the what was posted on their site.

The majority people (including yourself) believe it really wasn't a big deal - they payout over 100% rakeback so how could they be profiting if they increase their rake?

No it is certainly not okay to keep anything you are not entitled to.  With that said, I can see what support meant when they said it wasn't really over raked (net gain) because many people benefited from higher rake due to the rewards they got.  So those people are technically not entitled to the higher rewards either.

So for example if you are getting 100% tablestarter RB + VIP + Affiliate RB, you'd obviously be happy if the rake was as high as possible.  At any rate, this was a tough call and support had to make a tough decision.

It may not have affected many lower stakes players (smaller stakes = rake cap is reached less frequently), but I can assure you Betcoin profited greatly from it.  I believe it was easily well over 20 bitcoins.  I can't prove an exact amount, but I can prove it was a lot, and I can prove they aren't entitled to it...

FACTS  (not opinions)

  •   They first knew they were over charging players no later Novermber 14th
  •   They didn't even aknowledge the issue untill I made THIS POST on December 9th.

  •   Before eventually admitting the fact that they were taking more than they should, they denied it.
    Quote
The rake is actually programmed correctly in the system with the proper cap but appears to be capping at 2 ($0.82) for most tables 5 ($2.14) for some tables and the highest of 8 mbtc ($3.43) for very few tables.

  •    Players asked about refunds.  They have yet to provide a direct answer, but implied that they would be keeping all of it because most players were receiving more than they should:
    Quote
Refunding players who have been overpaying is a bit more complicated because most players are actually getting more than they should!

  •   All responses to this statement have been ignored.  All (or most) have been deleted.  Here is a response by dooglus (well known member on this forum, owner of just-dice) which was deleted from their forum.  My comments ( I am OHYEAH) were also deleted, and I was banned for making them almost immediately.:

  •   From 11/14 - 12/9 over 588,000 hands were dealt at Betcoin
  •   There is evidence of the cap being too high on 11/14, 12/9 and many days in between.  There is no evidence of the cap being correct at any time during this period.
  •   At any given time, no more than two players per table are receiving over 100% rakeback.
  •   Heads up cash tables are not eligible for rake back.
  •   Example:  The rake should have never been more than 2.5% with a max of 2 chips per hand at the following table and we see 6 being taken.  A maximum of 2 are getting 100%+ rakeback, possibly 1 or 0.   So a MINIMUM of 4 out of every 6 pots larger than 80 chips results in Betcoin taking funds they aren't entitled to.

  •   Example: High stakes Heads Up Match.  The rake should be capped at 1 chip but they take 5 chips.   Because of the stakes, every time they see a flop - Betcoin took 4 more chips than they should have.  It may not seem like much, but consider they played a 200 hand session (less than an hour) and saw 70% of flops.  Betcoin would have ended up with over 500 chips that would simply be unethical to keep.

  •   Betcoin was aware this was happening and did nothing for WEEKS while they dealt over 588,000 hands (I believe tournaments are included in this number to be fair)

Well there's just one example of many.

Ive been banned like 6 or 7 times in the last 2 months for trying to get them to respond to this issue and many others.  They pretend like it doesn't exist, then ban me and try to discredit me by lying to other players about me and rewarding those who try and troll me.

As the affiliate for a lot of players, shouldn't your chief concern be the player's safety?

It's very obvious that someone or someones were able to access internal databases that said "this player's username corresponds to this email address".  Right?  Everyone got emails with their correct username on them.

What other information were these hackers able to access?  Passwords?  The code that is attached to emails now (which, by the way, is identical on every single email)?  Account balances?  Private keys?

I'm not seeing anything, no.  I've also never registered or even been to Bitstamp if that helps you narrow down what happened.

It's crazy how there isn't a single person that promotes Betcoin who has the time to investigate or comment on any of these issues...they don't seem to have any trouble finding time to promote though...
Seriously?

Twitchy, I'm not ignoring you.  It's just that this is a busy time of the year and everyone's got a lot obligations.  I did actually go over some of your content but I didn't really know what the central complaint you have which was why I didn't know how to respond.  Seems like some of the problems were regarding being attacked by another player via some vulnerability you had on your end.  As you know since, there has been many updates to improve the platform and refunds were made to the players that were attacked.

It's baffling how they are just sticking their heads in the sand and pretending these things don't exist/didn't happen.  Just one answer, even if it's "I don't think a poker site's databases getting hacked and their customer's private information being disseminated is a big deal" would be great because at least it shows that you are living in some sort of reality and not this play money funland that so many betcoin players/administrators/affiliates appear to be living in.

WTF?

I just explained one of many examples, in detail, of how Betcoin stole 10+Bitcoin and then just ignored whoever asked them about it until eventually they stopped asking (except me).

You are pulling the same scummy BS as Betcoin ignoring the serious issues by spamming your thread to bury posts like this one.

Businesses (such as Betcoin) have the right to change its terms without notice.  Just take a look at the PokerStars brand and the changes they've made....  With that said what management did was probably not the best thing for public relations (you're a prime example of that) nor was it 100% transparent.  However, considering how low the rake was before AND how much rewards players got, changes were inevitable and needed to be done.  Right now everything is transparent and I don't see what the problem is.

What would you like them to do?  Spend 200 hours going through old records and refunding 300 players with a measely .02-10 mbtc each?  And then spend another 200 hours going through records and deducting .2 - 10 mbtc's from those that were overpaid with rewards?  It's not worth it to everyone and probably isn't even attainable.

Also please show some respect when you post in another person's thread.  You came in here demanding answers and responses ASAP and when I don't deliver in a time frame you felt comfortable with, you start to attack my personal character.

Did you read more than 1 sentence of what I wrote?

From your answer it seems like you skimmed through it and then just assumed I was because they increased the rake.

Are you implying that they raised the rake intentionally 3 weeks before ever mentioning it to the players?

The players that are are criticizing pokerstars from a ethical standpoint are claiming it was unethical for PokerStars to only give notice of the increase in November of the changes scheduled for Jan 1.

Betcoin admitted it was a mistake.

If I had access to their database of hands, I could probably have complete list of who is owed what within 3 hours.

Betcoin probably has no clue how to do this since theyve never had the need to learn how to read a hand history or use tracking software so it would take them longer, it's still their responsibility though.  In the past they've always just pick a number out of the air when they need to.

Your suggestion that they spend 200 hours on 300 players then another 200 hours refunding players who had less than 10 mbtc taken from them doesn't really make that much sense.

They should spend as long as it takes to make sure all of their players receive the entire refund they are entitled to.

PokerStars doesn't collect more rake than they advertise.  If they accidentally did, they would return it immediately with a sincere apology.

In November they announced the rake would be increasing in January.

In January they increased it.

Do you understand how that's different from what BetCoin did?
