For peoples concerned about the price, think in terms of waves
there is the high point and the low point of a wave, so dont get too excited when at the high point, nor depressed when at the low point.

The average of the high and the low is much more important than the exact high/low price

Now, if this average tends to go up over time (rising tide), then all is well.

It $1 million marketcap is the low part of the wave and BTCD is less than three weeks old, then maybe this is not so bad?

I am making good progress on the orderbook code, so by this weekend should have some primitive automated tradebot capability. Once that is in place, then making a tradebot that does automatic BTCD -> BTC trade and transfer will be much simpler, so if all goes well, next week there could be a BTCD -> BTC autopayment bridge in testing. When this goes to mainnet, BTCD will be accepted everywhere BTC is accepted.

Now that the price has dropped some I will share some insight.  I'm sure everyone already has an idea, but you all were victims of multiple pump groups which started along the mining period.  The enormous hashrate that was present during the mining phase was the what I call "the setup".  That alone fueled the "momentum" for the rocket to take off.  The rocket did run out of fuel and what your seeing price wise right now is the after effects.  This was all planned from the get go.

The real price before this i'm sure you all know is about 60k

There was plenty of fuel left someone just cut one of the fuel lines.

Fortunately James and the boys had already begun installation of a new propulsion system, all systems will be a go once again and then from there straight up uranus  Grin

assuming ~1000 blocks per day and 500,000 BTCD staking
even 500 BTCD is expected to get 1 block per day on average
so 5000 would be more like 10 blocks per day

Can someone make a JSON string with the crypsty market ids we want to support?

Just the BTC markets, like this:
{"BTCD":256,"NXT":159,...}

just having the top traded coins would be nice and this would save me time

Thanks

BitcoinDark by xpool - The Official BTCD Multipool

PROP reward system
BTCD Payouts
Scrypt & SHA256 & X11 Algo's
DDoS Protected
High Performance Backend
Simple setup and usage
1% Fee
To mine:

How does it work?

xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift (see below). The confirmed coins are traded on the top 4 exchanges throughout the duration of the shift automatically to maximize the profits by exchanging them into BTCD and creating buy pressure in the BTCD markets! Once the shift ends, the shift is moved into "Confirming" status while all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the BTCD payments are sent.

Current shifts run 24 hours, Monday - Friday and end at 7PM Eastern each day except Saturday & Sunday. The weekend shift ends on the Monday. Payments are then finialized and typically complete 2-3 hours after a shift ends.

The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your any GPU, CPU and older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired BitcoinDark.
Cheers and Happy Hashing!

Any issues, please report them here or feel free to PM me, as I can't always see every post.

Today's shift payments have finished. Over 328 BTCD sent out to miners on all 3 algos!

Keep up the mining support!

Well, some people that obtained early NXTprivacy and Privatebet assets put some on the market before I was ready for this, and at significant premiums over what the price I had planned on. Since this would create unhappy buyers for anybody that buys from these third parties, I have been forced to put these assets for sale. The most important thing for me is that people who invest in my assets are treated properly. These are not just words to me.

I am too busy coding now for proper explanations of these assets, but a summary version is that NXTprivacy owns 50% of Privatebet (after it sells what is on AE) and the dividends from Privatebet will flow through to NXTprivacy asset holders, so this puts a 2:1 ratio between Privatebet and NXTprivacy, just from this. However, NXTprivacy also is dealing with monetizing privacyServers and whatever it can get from that will also add to NXTprivacy dividends, plus maybe some more privacy oriented things. I would think a ratio of 1.5:1 to 2:1 is a reasonable ratio for Privatebet:NXTprivacy due to this.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1G-xRirAIAFHhJb1b04HG5EGXoG68O7SesiRm9mbRI9c/edit?usp=sharing has a rough description of GUI, the more specific technical details are not strictly accurate and has been changed, but at least you will get some ideas on what to expect.

Is there anybody that can start tweaking the generic NXT GUI to make it into a BTCD GUI?
Its HTML5
There is the standard NXT gui and the enhanced NXTservices version that already interfaces to my :7777 API
I suggest to start getting familiar with NXT GUI source code and when ready to delve into the NXTservices enhanced version

I find usually I finish the low level API before GUI is done, so the sooner GUI is started, the better

anyone know what is a worthwhile amount of btcd is to stake efficiently ?
5000 to 10000 should get you some blocks daily

ahh damn a hell of a way off my 3.9 lmao wish i had got in this earlyer Sad  shame i cant make more than my electric money mining this otherwise id be on pool 24/7
assuming ~1000 blocks per day and 500,000 BTCD staking
even 500 BTCD is expected to get 1 block per day on average

I'm not sure I'm understanding the reward "per block" in this scenario?

I am seeing average of .05 BTCD per block mined, but not sure how that is calculated. With 1440 blocks per day -> 72 BTCD per day, so it is about right cuz I am seeing around 100 per day change in coin supply.

So, one quick way to estimate daily revenues would be:

N/5000

This assumes you have more than 500 coins as otherwise you might not get a block in a day. Doesnt seem like much, but when BTCD is $10 each, it will be nice way to get extra income

I havent worked out all the details yet, but I was thinking about a way to increase the value of HODL'ing BTCD

~100 BTCD per day now is ~$100/day, which is nice but really not so big. Now with InstantDEX getting 0.1% trade commissions, I have some revenue sharing that is budgeted for the privacyServer operators but I think maybe some should go to BTCD HODL'ers too. I am not sure of percentages yet so dont hold me to this, but I might be able to allocate 10% of InstantDEX operating budget for this BTCD HODLer dividend. When InstantDEX is getting 1BTC per day of operating budget, this would almost double the value of the BTCD staking, if I just match up the dividend to the staking.

It wouldnt be anything built into the protocol, but rather something extra. So daily, all the accounts that mined a block would get a share and that day's dividends would get split according to the shares. This way the variance in the amount from a staked block also is removed, all staked blocks become worth the same for the dividend sharing.

What do you think? I wonder how long it would take to get InstantDEX daily volumes to 1000 BTC. Sounds like a lot, but for a while there 24 hour BTCD trading was almost that much. If we all just traded BTCD via InstantDEX, that could go a long ways to doubling the value of BTCD staking.
