Your ability to draw people in is quite amazing James.  You have a way with putting folks at ease; it's unbelievably mesmerizing.  What makes it so special is the fact that it's all genuine.  You don't have to be here everyday, answering nearly every question or giving us super detailed explanations of exactly what you've done and what you're doing.  But you do..... and you enjoy doing it.  It's a symbiotic relationship you share with all of us.

These last few weeks, really since about the time you came on board, have been amazing. You, this thread and the community have truly made my life easier.  That may sound silly, but it's true.  It's obvious that there is something really special here, I can feel it.  Each day there are new individuals here, who now share in this excitement.  The numbers are really growing; it's infectious!  HODL!!!!

Keep up the great work James and I'm sure the community will continue to give back.

Peace!

Ditto to everything this bredder says  Wink

can someone cut and paste sections of the DarkPaper and post them in sequence here?
If you open up half a dozen windows and prepare each one (make sure doesnt exceed size limit)
then you can post one after the other and make sure they are all consecutive
I want to make sure the text of DarkPaper is accessible even if my server is taken offline

*DARK PAPER: If you convert the MS-doc to PDF form, post that link here. Then people can store the PDF (.pdf) on their hard drive, and it just got stored, so will never get lost.

James,

1. Can you tell us when the PR campaign is scheduled for launch?

2. Can you clarify what total number of coins will be and when? (bitcoindark.org still saying 22 Million Total)
Way back I thought I read here there will be ~3M Total. The website needs updateing if I recall this as correct.

Haha, good point!

Just read the Summary and a few pages. Interesting concept, though I am not yet sure if it is 100% trustfree!

There is a mathematical analysis in progress by former uni maths professor mthcl. Peer review will be necessary as well.

Way back I thought I read here there will be ~3M Total. The website needs updateing if I recall this as correct.

~darylluke.
I am not doing PR stuff, need to ask Azeh

There are less than 1.2 million coins, 5% per year growth (MAX)
I am seeing ~100 new coins a day and while compounding will gradually increase this, it will take a while.
so it will take decades to reach 22 million!

Just using approx, 1.05 ^ Nth power:

this is 62.8% growth every decade.

1.628 * 1.2 million = 1.95 million BTCD in 10 years
2.653 * 1.2 million = 3.18 million BTCD in 20 years
4.322 * 1.2 million = 5.19 million BTCD in 30 years
...
18.68 * 1.2 million = 22.4 million BTCD in 60(!) years

Now the above is assuming 5% and we are seeing closer to 4%, so it will probably take longer than 60 years to reach 22 million. BTCD is a generational coin to be passed down from one generation to the next (without inheritance taxes unless you dont mind govt confiscating your family's wealth just because they can used to be able to)

So you can see that anybody that is day trading BTCD is gambling with their and their family's future wealth, but this is everybody's choice. We are up to 10% of all BTCD per day being traded and this is too high. HODL, I say HODL

James
