Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I think someone just figured out InstantDEX should be worth a lot more and the lowest ask is 46!?
I hope it doesnt turn into a bubble, not so many people are selling InstantDEX

James

During the whole Bter incident someone bought up all the MGW assets leaving only one sell order up. Price has stayed steady since then which kind of made me sad. Loved to had picked up more at the 3 nxt range I first purchased at. Speaking of, followers of btcd I noticed are the only people that actually cheer for the coin to go down in price as the time nears for the new wallet release. Even when the coin lost half it's value after the first pump no one was chanting doom and gloom. It was all around highfives as they purchased more.

I hate to sell it, but I also dont want it to sell for too high a price too soon so I made some available at 40.
just noticed on secureae the top 7 traded assets:
mgwBTC, nemstake, MGW, nxttycoin, instantDEX, mgwBTCD(!), jl777hodl (aka JLH)

5 of the top 7 traded assets (8 millon NXT/wk ~$250K USD).
maybe that's why some call me the asset master Smiley

wow.... 5000 would definitely be considered making some available

If the price goes past the resistance into 50, 60+ so soon, then people who buy at that price will not make so much money and having people that invest in my assets making money is my primary goal. Also, a pump just creates the opposite and disappointed investors and even though its not my fault, if I can proactively prevent overpricing, then I think it will help stabilize things.

Is there a way to get an extended look at the trade history for these assets?  Further than a few days or a week?

I know there are sites like nxtreporting.com (still broken from NXT DGS block changes, should be fixed by early next week)
and secureae, not sure how far back they can display.

cryptocoincharts is supporting NXT assets, i think cryptocoinassets, not sure. you can always ask in NXT forum, someone there would know

I am getting reports of other coins saying that some BTCD peoples are working on their coin, or maybe even I am.
As you know I am big tent crypto guy, so I am always liking to help other coins and am encouraging other coins to get uMGW support so they can trade in NXT AE (and InstantDEX) and of course supernetwork

Like the bitshares guy starts saying because he is talking to buterin, that etherium will use bitshares (totally denied by etherium), the marketing types at other coins might use the fact that I am actually responding to them and making it into something all out of proportion to what it is.

So before assuming the rumours you hear are true, wait for actual confirmation/denial from the horse

I understand that people put a lot of money into certain coins, so they tend to passionately defend their coin. However, I think more people should be working for the advancement of cryptocurrencies as a whole industry, not just looking for a pump.

Question for Azeh and other btcd devs besides James:

Is there anybody that worked for or is still working for BTCD, who is also working for DarkFox (DRX)? One of the DRX devs mentioned that they have a team member who has been part of the BTCD team. Im not sure if the member he was talking about was a coder, website dev, or just a PR marketing guy. In any case, can you guys confirm this? I just hope we didnt get trolled by them. Thanks

exchange, sportsbetting and tradebots!
at least their Foxbet will be Closed source and FoxEX will be Closed source.

They even have Tor for anon network! That must have taken a long time for them to do Smiley

More seriously, I hope you didnt buy any large amount of this stuff. Always go with the original, everything else is at best an out of date copy, at worst, ...

Nope, none of us core dev members have been involved in this.

Just your typically P and D folks trying to copy and leverage BTCD to their advantage.  I'd expect a lot more of this down the road.

Can you point out the inaccurate parts of this crude drawing

- Do you actually send funds to a 'transporter' first or was that term just used to describe the originator?
- When you create a telepod do you actually withdraw BTCD from your address into the telepod's address?
- Im confused about what data is actually in the telepod
I actually create an account label called transporter. This account is only used by the create_traceable_telepod function. As the name implies this is a publicly recorded tx. The recommendation is to directly withdraw to the transporter address from an offshore exchange or from some mixing service. Now maybe we get people who dont mind others knowing that they have created a bunch of telepods, in that case just transfer funds to the transporter account and create_traceable_telepods.

I expect that there will be people that will sell aged telepods via InstantDEX so others wont have to make any public record about creating a telepod. Still working out details on how InstantDEX can allow blockchain verified but private swaps of the initial traceable telepods. Even without that this is only an issue for the first transaction after telepod creation, but you might have noticed I just dont stop until it is as perfect as I can make it. That is the nice thing about software, you get as many do-overs as possible. Too bad golf doesnt work that way too.

The telepod creation is a "normal" transaction as far as the blockchain is concerned, and funds are taken from the transporter unspent outputs into a telepod. I put in there all the information that is needed to deal with teleporting. Since you asked, here is the telepod structure:

struct telepod
{
    uint32_t filenum,xfered,height,sentheight,crc,totalcrc,cloneblock,confirmheight;
    int16_t cloneout;
    uint16_t len_plus1,tbd2,tbd3,tbd4,tbd5;
    int8_t inhwm,ischange,saved,dir,gotack,spentflag,tbd6,tbd7;
    struct transporter_log *log;
    struct telepod *abortion,*clone;
    double sentmilli,recvmilli,completemilli;
    char clonetxid[MAX_COINTXID_LEN],cloneaddr[MAX_COINADDR_LEN];
    uint64_t destnxt64bits,unspent,modified,satoshis; // everything after modified is used for crc
    uint16_t podsize,vout,spad;
    uint8_t pad,pad2,extraspace[255],sharei;
    char coinstr[8],txid[MAX_COINTXID_LEN],coinaddr[MAX_COINADDR_LEN],script[128];
    unsigned char privkey_shares[];
};

See, isnt it simple!

all the tbd, pad and extraspace are just filler so I can add more fields (the ones I am not smart enough to know I need yet) without changing the size or location within an existing telepod. Now this is just the thing that holds a standard denomination, there is a transporter log structure that binds a bunch of telepods into a single transaction. You can think of them as the high level packet and the telepods are the low level, which needs to support the onion routing, radomization of paths/retransmit, and retry if there is timeout, validating the cloning on the blockchain and some other things.

your diagram shows the worst case of telepod creator sending to telepod extractor and it also doesnt really show the M of N or onion routing, but other than that I think it is pretty close.

James

P.S. The cloning appears on the blockchain, in fact other than telepod creation and cloning and extraction, nothing else is on the blockchain. Ah, also forgot about trusted teleports, that is where there is no cloning before it is sent to the next person

P.P.S. key exit path of trading the telepod back to the creator to create a self-canceling loop of creation + cloning events

When coins get pumped on rumours about affiliation with the dev team of BTCD, that should tell you something about how the market values BTCD and it's dev team.

There is one message for altcoin investors out there: buy BTCD and hold, don't get distracted.

I heard that too Smiley I hereby take the liberty to congratulate you once more on your awesome job. I've been into Bitcoin/Crypto since 2012 and reading this thread has got me excited in the same way as the early days of Bitcoin itself.
