nice move up, good call mrwhitebites....now lets see how the later part of your prognostication turns out. wasn't too long ago market cap was waffling around 1 million...now its over 3x 4x that... thanks team, for sticking to it and never giving up....looking forward to next phase of development. on coincap.io, there is a link to buy or sell ioc, and its powered by shapeshift, but on shape shift ioc is not listed???

Hi i have one question about IOCOIN, originally wich was the POW algo selected for this coin and why it was changed?
the original pow algo was x11. it was always part of the roadmap to switch over from POW to POS after roughly 16 million coins were minted. i know one of the reasons was environmental impact of mining pow coin is not good for planet

Congrats to IOC for being the top % gain coin on Poloniex in the past 24 hours (BEATING EVERY OTHER COIN!) at the moment of typing this.
I personally think we're headed straight up beyond 100k sat's. This coin is just too undervalued.

I wonder what kind of market there will be for reserving IOC names. Any kind of rush for this would bring money into the coin as well. Lots of possibilities out there......

Hey all,
we had a comment in Poloniex that I would like to address. "TradeGuard: IOC is a privayc wreck they tie address to your username, not even stealth addresses”
The team wants to elaborate on this some more. From day one we said we would not make transactions anon. Our approach was always to stay just like bitcoin but work hard to make it as user friendly as possible to gain wide adoption. On regards to usernames (Alias) this is why DIONS has taken so long.
We recognized that people wanted some kind of privacy when registering or tying a username to an address. At that point we worked hard with an option for people to register "Private Aliases”, so this means in DIONS, you can register a "Stealth Alias" that wont show up in the blockchain. This private alias can be use to give to friends and family or anyone, that you trust and want them to use an alias to send instead of sending to the hex address. The private alias is also good for for encrypted Data upload (Storage) limited to 1MB for D V.1.
The transaction will show in the blockchain just like it does today but it wont show Alias-to-Alias if you so choose too. Im sure many will use this feature and some wont feel the need to. This will be for people to choose. You can also register a Public alias and that will show up in the blockchain explorer. The same thing goes for messaging. You will have an option to send Private messages or choose for them to be public. When sending public they will show up in the blockchain and could be picked up. And an app like service could be used to deploy a “Twitter like service but Decentralized".
Our project understands that there is a market for both anon and non anon transactions. We are not here to compete wit xmr, sdc or even zcash. There is plenty of options for that. Anon transactions at times can be a very sticky thing for wide adoption. This is not to say we dont have the capabilities or know how, we have the capabilities and more.
Although there is millions of dollars in dark markets there is also a huge demand non stealth markets. The blockchain is a beautiful decentralized database that can be used for more than just financial transactions, with this in mind we have many markets were our technology of our chain is currently needed. One of those markets is for example Gaming, but this is one of many Gaming is one of the most lucrative spaces in tech currently.
DIONS will serve a very important role with gaming companies that decide to adopt our chain for different uses. This companies have to comply with regulations and Anon would not help in that cause This is just one example
There is a clear distinction between anonimity / stealth and privacy features here.
More info will come in our DIONS Infographics. This infographic will explain in clear words and use cases how DIONS can be used in real life.
Thanks,
I/O Digital team

I wonder what kind of market there will be for reserving IOC names. Any kind of rush for this would bring money into the coin as well. Lots of possibilities out there......
If we implement the blockchain interoperability for example this opens up great opportunities. If we have like multiple blockchains connected, then this alias system is interoperable between those chains. If we have a connected "pizza hut" blockchain for whatever reason, then you can pay IOC to the alias pizzahut-io for example. If they are not connected they still can accept payments. If they want to receive BTC for a pizza, you can theoretically send IOC to pizzahut-io and 'a service' can convert this to BTC because we are interoperable with BTC someday. Even add another converter that converts the BTC to $ in the end. Alias is not just for payments, but messaging as well. lets say we create a new Twitter service. (or somebody else does that), then the info stored in the Blockchain can be tied to the alias a.k.a your decentralized Twitter handle. Would love to read other ideas people will have with this. Cheers Richard
