Design style from 10 years ago tbh...
Yeah, your submission are only a change of color and some gradient. 10 years ago? Right. Maybe you should go back to your design school. No offense, but if you're 'bashing' my logo, you better submit something better than only a color changed original. By based on the original the devs don't mean : 'just change the color'. I'm sure they can do that themselves. Oh and one more thing. Bashing designs of other designers when you have submitted your own does not reflect good on yourself. Know that. Ok..I see you even got fanboys here...but if you want a quality discussion - let's do it. 1. This was not bashing, but a valid statement - your submission IS "web 2.0 style" from 10+ years ago. Man, look at other "modern" icons in your own launch dock: Skype, Firefox, Chrome. See the difference? Only your own Mac apps are compatible with your logo 2. Yep, as someone else stated, looks like power button - noticed that myself, but didn't want to "bash" it too much 3. Can you look at your own picture where you illustrated how "good" it looks on official website? Can you notice enormous difference between your style and rest of the web site? Everyone can tell that on this type of website, best fitting would be sort of flat logo 4. Have you looked at new wallet teaser pics? How is your logo going to look on that style? Like punch in the eye! Have you seen my last submissions? It uses some of exact colors from that wallet - to fit with the rest 5. I wasn't "just changing the colour" - but added different variants of styling so team/people can choose which variant they like the most 6. Original logo actually looks very nice to me - I would only flatten it, and lose all the unneeded bevels, 3D effects etc Peace. |
