As far as I know this is why it takes so much time to add. Smiley Someone is actively working on fixing these issues for viacoin.

The work on SegWit/Merged mining is still ongoing AFAIK so no VIA miner is able to signal it yet. I hope that the 0.13.2 release (which includes segwit) will happen in the next few weeks though.  Smiley

Are you aware that SegWit breaks both merge mining & mining with p2pool ? If you introduce SegWit compatibility then p2pool users will be unable to mine or merge mine Viacoin resulting in a loss of miners, Viacoin users & network hash rate. I urge you to leave SegWit on the back burner until someone has patched p2pool, which might be a while as the p2pool dev seems to have vanished.

https://github.com/p2pool/p2pool/issues/326

Regards.
Less miners, only miners mining on SegWit compatible pools?
Sounds like a faster SegWit activation !

Cheesy just kidding, I will read more about it and keep it in mind.
I do see an implementation here https://github.com/p2pool/p2pool/pull/327

I've helped you on twitter and told you to use the core wallet then instead.
For SegWit it's required that I have to upgrade electrum. It's not the time to bug hunt for a bug that only a single person has. I asked for a debug log and windows version but you didn't send that, also said to try it on another computer for now since it's only a single transaction you want to make.

Isn't it much easier to just download the core wallet & sync it?
The electrum wallet will be upgraded later & the bug will be gone by then.

SegWit is now number 1 priority.

Hello,

I've been away for a long time and now tried to access my Clearwallet @ https://clearwallet.co/ but I get the error message: "No ClearingHouse servers are currently available. Please try again later. ERROR: The server is not fully caught up to the blockchain. Please logout and try later. (Most likely this message is due to the server being updated.)".
I did put my phrase one word at a time but still get the same message. I opened a ticket, but no response at all.
Can someone help me with the next steps accessing my wallet?

Thanks , Mark

Sorry I've been busy for the last few days.
I finally got all the remaining server stuff transferred over from btcdrak including clearwallet, vialectrum and node seeds.

I spent a lot of time on clearwallet and I've managed to fix the login issue! You can access your private keys now.
I'll definitely leave the server running for a while, but I suggest you copy out any private keys that have Via or ClearingHouse tokens.

You can import these tokens to a Viacoin full node and use the clearinghoused command line if the web wallet is retired.
The command line gives access to all the same features of the web wallet, and actually the web wallet uses it behind the scenes anyway.

After you log in, this screenshot shows how to export the private key. You should repeat separately for each address that has a balance.

Here is a script that you can use in order to compile and run a viacoin full node on Linux:
https://github.com/Azure/azure-quickstart-templates/blob/master/blockchain/scripts/viacoin.sh

I used it two days ago and it works fine.

Hey @Romano, any news on the segwit+auxpow implementation? How is the dev doing?  Smiley

It's going well, merged mining is close on being completed.
Good things can take some time.

Especially because it's never been done in altcoin land with bitcoin core 0.13.2 and merged mining!

More then 60% is completed for merged mining.

Take special care with version bits. Also before you pay the guy make sure the unit tests all run.. they aren't complete but should atleast sanity test the implementation. One thing I didn't do was block version bit 8 so the qt gui warns on every MM block but thats easy to do... and that's because version 8 is not a versionbit as recognized by chainparams.

Did you release 0.13.2 with merged mining? You make it sound like you released it but yet i so no release. Coding it a month and a half ago and still taking you so long to release? Is your code not working? Waiting for other coins to release it first? Please clarify what is taking you so long since u came here to brag about it.
