Check out this transaction. Richlist addresses 2. VdoY9gr6Jo7356PECP8ncfZptqqGBw9XjD - 7,370.01780552 4. VsEpgfua49fZsEwCawwdgchfhxrHtd4xtj - 50,000.0 8. VvfJcUjpjmQedL5mtAnChsrnPGPW82xwUg - 2,102.3742752 Just paid into 12. Vat2wisFnRJCiyF9CjtDofRedGYdKME56W + 59,493.47715994 Addresses 2, 4 and 8 are definitely controlled by the same person with a combined total of 2775024.5 which is more than the number 1 address on the rich list. So at most, two people control 25% of all Viacoin in existence. i think VvroAXY6XNBqLvrSjSMm5ExqqgqLonsdif is bittrex, it shows "Guesstimated Wallet: 5187 addresses" and one of those is definitely one i use to deposit to bittrex interesting thing is it shows only those vias i deposited from outside bittrex, and doesnt show those bought directly on bittrex

Hopefully 2, 4 and 8 are also controlled by exchanges (possibly bittrex?) paying out to a mini-whale then. If bittrex is holding 12% of the economy in a single wallet though they are crazy, and there have been no withdrawals/deposits from/to it in almost a year.

Ah yes, that would explain a lot well one of bittrex addresses, this is shown as "Main Address: VxtMX7omYJmrv6QYCmjgBHfsC9LeUzzEZT" so there are over 7.5m coins in total on bittrex :p so VvroAXY6XNBqLvrSjSMm5ExqqgqLonsdif is a person or group of people (probably same people who threw a tantrum a while ago about some issue and then "hearned it" )

I think so, since it's been in segwit testnet since last year. Part of Elements Alpha IIRC.
Any segwit-Via follow up? Is it worked out behind closed doors? In that case, I expect no answer yet. Are funds available to pay for segwit implementation in VIA? IDK what the budget looks like, but it would be nice to keep our lead as the most technologically advanced Bitcoin fork. If the money and dev(s) aren't a constraint, why not go ahead and put in all of Elements Alpha?

There are 1 million Viacoin available for development purpose. As far as I know they are untouched. Since VIA are so cheap now, it is hardly worth to give a bunch of Via as a bounty, because the bounty-bag will soon be empty. Drak is keeping the Bounty-wallet, but I imagine bounty distribution is a community made decision. As far as I know Todd was previously payed for some months by Drak himself (from his IPO-budget?), but in recent Tweets he said, his Via contributions were indirect, coming from his BTC-dev work. He didn't repy on my comment that he once tweeted: 'making Viacoin project preferred over BTC is an ungoing project. I am not going to say otherwise.' Maybe Wuille or W v/d Laan could help? I can imagine Via-bounty is exactly for this type of work. Put in all Elements Alpha? Sure! Awesome! You mean following features that are under construction? 1) SW Segregated Witness 2) CT Confidential Transactions https://www.elementsproject.org/elements/confidential-transactions/ 3) RTL Relative Time Lock 4) SS Snorr Signatures 5) SCV Signature Covers Value 6) DP Deterministic Pegs 7) SB Signed Blocks Future: 8 ) BSM AI Asstet Issuance 9) Bitmask Sighash Modes Btw: 'Elements is an open source collaborative project where we work on a collection of experiments to more rapidly bring technical innovation to Bitcoin. Elements are features that are proposed and developed in this technical community that in arbitrary combinations can be fashioned into sidechains.'

time for speculation fat finger [/quote] No fat finger. I know from who Via have been stolen. This Via-enthousiast is out of crypto for a while to heal his wounds. He is often on this forum, but I am not sure he would appreciate if I would mention his avatar-name. Maybe he will tell himself when/if he will join again. It is up to you to speculate further or not. Better to work on Via. Maybe join Via on Slack?

Well it aint me babe, my 2000 Via are safe and sound at clearwallet.coThe SSL cert expired nearly seven months ago but I'm sure the most advanced, forefront, bleeding edge and up to date crypto coin in the world will have this fixed eventually. Probably only scared off a few dozen new users so far.

Haha, doom. Via volume seems to float to Poloniex. It is the leading exchange now with all those btc flying around and all whales and groups trading with massive volume. Edit: well, if you check distribution on Bittrex, it has some serious wallets.
