Actually, I'm very pleased. You can see the bet amount right now is 6,132. That means EV is positive and a whopping .32%/bet. The variance swings wildly, but if EV is positive the peaks and troughs will move up. Yesterday, it was over 300k. Just watch and you'll see. I also take BTC investments directly. Just msg me with your NXT account and how much your sending. I'll reply with the BTC address to send to and what your NXT/BTC price lock is. Thanks, LibertyNow

What if you change the xtics to this? set xtics 365.25/6 * 24*60*60 # an average 2 months in seconds Yeah, that fixes it. Why is that? I don't get it I've not looked into what's going on in detail, but if you're asking for xtics every 60 days, and it is rounding down to the start of the month then eventually you're going to get two consecutive months showing up: March 1st + 60 days = April 30th, which rounds down to April 1st. The problem is that 60 days per 2 months means only 360 days per year, so you're off by 5 or 6 days each year. Eventually that drift will show up as a 1 month gap in the x-axis labels. Working off 365.25 days per year instead of 360 days per year results in a smaller error, and less likelyhood of a visible error. Edit: I've not been able to reproduce the observed results exactly, but this is pretty close: $ echo $(for i in {0..16}; do echo "select date_add(date('2014-07-13'), interval 60*$i day)" | mysql -N; done | cut -d- -f1,2) 2014-07 2014-09 2014-11 2015-01 2015-03 2015-05 2015-07 2015-09 2015-11 2016-01 2016-03 2016-05 2016-07 2016-08 2016-10 2016-12 2017-02

In hindsight, it's pretty obvious. But damn, once again I'm impressed.

In hindsight, it's pretty obvious. But damn, once again I'm impressed. What's weird is I've always used this: set xtics "1371427200", 86400*28 for my monthly axis labels and never seen anything other than 1 month gaps. Maybe because I'm using single months, and having two dates 'round down' to the start of the same month wouldn't be a problem.

I do love me a good chart. Couple questions though: Why does the profit start at a number above zero, but the amount wagered starts at zero? Does this chart reflect the beginning of bustabit operations, or just since you took over from the previous owner?
The chart is a bit confusing, but the red line is profit and it's axis is on the right hand side. So it actually is starting at zero, it's just not at the bottom because for a brief time the site profit was negative. And the blue line is the wagered, and its axis is on the left (so it also starts at zero. Ha. For someone who likes charts so much, I sure didn't spend enough time looking at the axes. I lazily only looked at the left axis and assumed both lines were on the same scale, which of course, doesn't make much sense for the amount of difference between the values.

Congratulations to LosDeXibalbaMC for joining the exclusive club of getting 200+ BTC in profit! Is it accurate that this graph is showing a 7ish btc gain on a single game? If so, what was the stake that game, and what multiplier did he cash out at? No way I have the nerves to ride the timer for however long that took to earn, whether it was a long timer or a huge bet. I felt like a wild man the few times I let the timer get past 2.5x (but I'm also really risk averse). Bets like this intrigue me.

Did I get it right that the game is sort of imitating what happens on the bourse with different papers growing in price and than costing nothing? Then I think this game is significantly useful. It's not just gambling, it's also some practice for people who do such work every day like in the film " A Good Year". I wanted to try playing but found out there is no faucet here. When I first entered the site I think I saw the 'play for fun' mode but I didn't find it after registration...

Basically a $1000 bet and letting it ride that long. Can't really imagine the nerves that would have taken. Told perhaps if he's used to betting that much at a time, you get desensitized to it after awhile, so maybe it's not quite what I imagine it to be. But when you're up that high on the multiplayer, you're basically sitting with a $1000 bet and looking at odds of about, what, 12ish percent success? The thing that always gets me is the opportunity cost of not cashing out. It's one thing to roll dice and say "I know going into this bet that I have a 10% chance of winning but the payout will be 10x if I hit. It's an immediate calculation. With this, you can have he same mindset going in, but then you watch the multiplayer pass 6x, 7x, 8x... and you're already in rare territory, and every second you choose not to cash out, you're re-risking what you could have already locked in as a gain. It's why I rarely make it past 2.5x. I just over think it.

Even going past 25% tests my nerves. This guys just lays down $1000 like it was nothing. It also amaes me how some people ride for so long and dont cash out lots just silly and greedy. Like at 25x you would think the guy was happy but nope. Imagine riding with $1000 up into the 100s. Damn !

Even if you assume that every single player but yourself is a bot, the game is still provably fair. It is not possible for bustabit to manipulate the outcome of any game without players noticing. Why would you believe that, though? bustabit has been operating in good faith for years.

Every single slot game use rng to determine "random" outcome of current spin, yet you can fix it to give, 80 - 70 - 60 or even less % of total pay ins....it will never give more than it is deposited.....same here...why do you think he cannot fix % of payouts on the game he coded by himself
