Would mini-blockchain be implementable in Bitcoin?
No because it doesn't use scripts. You could implement a variant of the mini-blockchain scheme which uses the account tree to store scripts, which would help to prune spent outputs, but I don't think the existing Bitcoin protocol could be adapted to support such a change, and it'd be an overkill solution for the spent output problem and it wouldn't be as scalable as the original mini-blockchain scheme.

Any news on the block explorer ? Nope, not sure what has happened to the guy who created it, I might have to code a simple open source block explorer.

But I did actually! Unfortunately, this pool is not working with the CCMiner binary from DJM34 (last checked yesterday). Once that's fixed, I'll be certain to give theblocksfactory another go. ~ Myagui This pool works with catia's miner, but not with stratum implementation of ccminer, very strange. Stratum authentication failed ...retry after 30 seconds
Could someone give a hashrate compare of CCMiner with catia's Cudaminer? @djm34 : Do you have a plan to release the source code for Linux User? 750ti OCed I get on Wind 7 64x: ~ 2400 Kh/s with Catia's Cuda-Miner ~ 4700 Kh/s with djm34 ccminer (lastest releas v.5) My understanding is that Catia's miner works best on Linux and I think some have reported a hashrate of around 4000 Kh/s I just got an average of 4100KHs on Gigabyte 750Ti OC at my 5 GPU rig... Pretty solid rate you got... EDIT: with latest ccminer getting 4.5MHs each card...

too bad the coin is tanking.. I think so . Price is actually slightly higher than it was 2 days ago, I wouldn't exactly say it is tanking. Keep in mind the price of BTC has also dropped quite dramatically in the last week, but is on the way back up now.

I don't know why ccminer isn't working on my pool. all other stratum miner works on our pools even other version of ccminer
I have dump what the miner send to the other pool. I do the same. (stratum protocol ....)
this is really "strange"
Actually catia uses a lot of code from Christian, but I don't check whether she uses his stratum implementation or not. Don't have time to check now but I suggest you should check this part of code. ccminer could connect to your pool but the stratum won't let it connect due to authentication failed. Yes very strange. Regards, Aizen. PS: I will inform djm about this strange behaviour, he might have an idea. I fixed this problem but it's seem my gtx 580 cannot produce a share : [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s [2014-08-20 15:59:56] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 580, 1048577 khash/s ps : not working on the gh pool too. So I will deploy the fix and we will see 580 can't use this ccminer. ccminer requires at least compute_30. Let's me check with 750ti. Did you fix it on the pool already? Auth is ok now but I can't test mining Can i mine with AMD cards or its only for nvidia? And what miner to use? (i have only 2x GT 650)

The altcoin community should be about innovation, not a select few people making a quick buck. Our goal was to break out of that greed driven trend. Cryptonite had no pre-mine, no IPO, the difficulty adjustment algorithm is designed to adapt quickly and prevent instaminesI live for a day when developers will actualy launch a coin which is as promised in announcement. So far, the only non-instamined coin out there is also the first one - Bitcoin. Any other coin was instamined and XCN is not exception. Developers who can implement killer features in their coin surely know what starting difficulty should they go with to really prevent instamine but, as it can be seen again, that is actualy not in their interest. Nor it is in their interest to provide optimized CPU / GPU miners and 100% working wallet at the very start of mining. "The first couple of hours were bit of a bumpy ride, the first Windows binaries released were buggy and caused a bunch of mini-forks to break out, preventing Windows users from participating in the network until we released a fix." Pathetic scumbags. Just to bump one of my previous post so any newcomers eventualy realise what this coin is actualy about - for those unable to think, it is about instamining and dumping easily acquired coins on you at inflated prices later.
