ANON EXCHANGE
As far as I know, the problem lies between the agreement between Mscollec and Smoke. No one is 100% sure on it, and we are lacking Mscollec's response. Based on what I can tell, Mscollec only paid Smoke team to code and create the exchange but the ownership of the exchange lies with Smoke team.  This is kinda strange, because normally when you employ someone to create a website for you, it is understood/normal practice that, the provider of the funds is the owner.

I believe this is the issue with Smoke not handing over the exchange and needs someone to 'buy off' the exchange from them.

Just thinking:

If i would pay someone to do some work for me.... then one is for sure: It would be MY product - i would be the owner, i allone, AND NOT ANY mysterious "community".

So, its mscollecs product. he paid for it. (with money he got from first dev; which gave voot away, and mscollec saved it and took it over).

So... i really do not understand, how people now think, the exchange would belong "to community". Did anyone of you pay for it ?? Did anyone who now wants the sourcecode pay for it ??

I was dev for 25 years in industry... never saw something like that... thats like stealing... someone else pay, and there come people who claim ownership. and are disappointed, if it is not handed over "for free".

So of course, if community does not anymore want mscollec, fine, but you cannot rob him, thats strange.
its absolutely fair from Smoke-Team, that they only want to handover to those, who paid them !!

And maybe, just maybe, mscollec told them: "okay, if someone else buy for it and wanna run it, give it to them." but that would be pure generous.

So, sorry, all this mscollec-bashing on one side, but wanting for free what HE paid for .... that really sounds little bit stupid ... !

sorry... but its really very very strange, such behaviour. like children "give it to me, give it to me, for freeeeee". pffh.


And one more thing:
Now people wanna make "this or that"  with voot. even people think what to do with the coin, and they have nothing to do with dev, marketing or whatever.

Did you all forget what Voot was made for? An anonymous market. That was the original plan (even befor mscollec).

And now people say "oh, its not so important, lets do this and that with voot".

No ! This people are just some traders and speculators, who just have some coin bought beyond 1000sat and want money back. nothing else.
thats okay, thats fine, nothing wrong with that.

but dont pretent that you would care any longer for that coin, as you hold it. and you will sell it in the moment it reaches 1000 or 2000 sat. for sure.

I would say hand over to Mscollec first, so that there is no miscommunication since he is the person who gave SMOKE/paid them for this project.

We previously discussed (on IRC) with Mscollec about the future of VOOT. He clearly stated that once the VOOT Foundation is established he would be happy to detach himself from VOOT and leave everything in the hands of the foundation.

Now would also be a good time to address everyone who is saying "WTF, Voot foundation? Who? Why? What? How?"

As a community the decision to form VOOT Foundation was very quick and neither of us was voted in. And I agree, that after the current poll/situation with exchange we must re-evaluate with together with the VOOT community.

I have taken initiative to register vootcoin.org and vootfoundation.org and taken it upon myself to build a new website for VOOT. If at a certain point the community does not agree with this, I will hand over both domains.

In case many of you are thinking, sncs.. who the fuck is sncs, what does he bring to the table? Here is a little bit about my background:

Currently running a business in IT, specialized in servers, networking and web development.
I've been involved in building and maintaining servers for about 10 years now and web development for the last 5 years.

Yep, the Exchange is his. In a legal sense Voot doesn't exist. There's no corporation, contract, etc. just people posting stuff here.  One priority should be to make the Voot Foundation a real paperwork backed and filed legal entity the way the Dogecoin foundation is set-up.

I could be interpreting them wrong, but what I understood is that, they want 'investors' to take over the Anon exchange, i.e. basically selling off the exchange to an investor (maybe even participating in the profit). If the payment for the Anon exchange is paid for, and belongs to Mscollec or the Voot community, then I don't see why they want 'investors' to take over the Anon exchange?

Yes, this is fine. Mscollec, could you please reach out to smoke team, as they trust you more and get control of the exchange. Once you get control of the exchange, we can decide on how to run it through  the VOOT foundation. You know the circumstance of the agreement made with Smoke team, and it is best if you try to resolve this. Does that make sense?

This is like, if I employee & pay a contractor to build a house for me and after completing of the house, I have to pay them again to take ownership of the house   . Smoke team where employed to build & hand over the anon exchange and not lease or resell it to the Voot community.

As some of you are aware, there are conflicts in negotiating with the SMOKE team in regards to AnonEx. The VOOT community cannot and will not just stand still waiting for something to happen. The community has spoken to us, and we created a poll based on certain actions we could take if an exchange is not delivered to us. We have reached out to SMOKE and have given them ample time to come up with an agreement. After that time has passed, the results of the poll will go into effect. This poll will last for 24 hours, ending at midnight EST tomorrow.

I agree, no rash decisions will be made. That is where the team and community input come into play. MsCollec has stated that he does want to exit the coin, and has been cooperative with exiting in due time. There are some things to figure out like who will take the reigns. We are making lots of progress, just be assured that work is being done.

Yes, he did mention that, right at the beginning when we joined the foundation. He is helping the community manage the foundation with rational decisions and not work on emotions. He has come forward because he wants to be involved in the future of voot.

I have no association with him, and instead of thanking him for taking time for  voot, there is no sense in complaining about his credentials. Note his position in the foundation is temporary (like everyone except Jeff and whale) and he is helping us and does not hold permanent position in the foundation. People who have come forward to the voot foundation have joined for the right reasons. Note, if you are selling at a loss, it is cause of your decisions. The same happened when people sold at 65 sats and rebounded to 800.
