Updated the links on the SPR pool in case someone wants to mine
Looks like I have to repeat the question every 10 pages: Did You published source code for Your "pool miner"? Anyone successfully compiled from source? If not than any one full enough to run closed binaries should go after cointellect "miner". Pays at least 10 times more than your "pool miner"... The miners are fully based on the normal source, there is just a encryption key within the code which encrypts communication between miner and pool - so yes - the source is fully available, just without the key

Sure. If You say so... I believe cointellect guys will tell me the same. Based on "normal source". And only "something" within the code. Additionaly breaking open source code rules...

Actually, his description doesn't violate the GPL at all. I'd like to see this available source code, as I'm somewhat interested. im VERY interested as I would like to COMPILE IT LOCALLY ... my apologies - did I just CAPS and repeat myself again ... right now - spreadminer for nvidia and nonce are our only saviours for mining this coin more efficiently ... tanx to sp ( and tsiv ) and nonce of course for the miner and pool ... the amd miners are not mining spr due to the lack of 'good' optimized miners ... though im sure wolf - you would have something in the pipeline if u wanted to 'look' at sgminer for spreadx11 ... #crysx

Actually, his description doesn't violate the GPL at all. I'd like to see this available source code, as I'm somewhat interested. I don't know about descriptions that violate or not, bug his acting does violate. Releasing binaries based on changed GPL code without publishing source code is violating GPL. If he keeps binaries compiled from changed GPL source code for himself, than everything is OK. But he is releasing them for public use without source, so... http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhoHasThePowerDoes the GPL require that source code of modified versions be posted to the public? (#GPLRequireSourcePostedPublic) The GPL does not require you to release your modified version, or any part of it. You are free to make modifications and use them privately, without ever releasing them. This applies to organizations (including companies), too; an organization can make a modified version and use it internally without ever releasing it outside the organization.
But if you release the modified version to the public in some way, the GPL requires you to make the modified source code available to the program's users, under the GPL.
Thus, the GPL gives permission to release the modified program in certain ways, and not in other ways; but the decision of whether to release it is up to you.

Lets launch a crypto symbol standard, rather than having to work to the existing international currency standards (fuck'em). http://www.iso.org/iso/home/store/catalogue_tc/catalogue_detail.htm?csnumber=46121ServiceNodes can be the guardians of the universal crypto standards and people would need to make an application for inclusion based on simple rules, like: 'well, no one else is using it' Why? Well, partly because its an international club and you have to be approved by someone in a suit who imposes too many complex and self grandiose rules. Fuck'em. Partly because it costs a lot. Fuck'em. Partly because crypto is about more than currency. Oh, yeah baby. still, fuck'em. Partly, just because and they didn't reach out to crypto. So, fuck'em.

Lets launch a crypto symbol standard, rather than having to work to the existing international currency standards (fuck'em).
Done. See the repos maintained by github org DOACC. To set the context: this is the core of the existing international currency standard 4217: ISO 4217ISO 4217:2008 specifies the structure for a three-letter alphabetic code and an equivalent three-digit numeric code for the representation of currencies and funds. For those currencies having minor units, it also shows the decimal relationship between such units and the currency itself.
fragment of XML rendering: <ISO_4217 Pblshd="2015-01-01"> <CcyTbl> <CcyNtry> <CtryNm>AFGHANISTAN</CtryNm> <CcyNm>Afghani</CcyNm> <Ccy>AFN</Ccy> <CcyNbr>971</CcyNbr> <CcyMnrUnts>2</CcyMnrUnts> </CcyNtry> <CcyNtry> <CtryNm>ÅLAND ISLANDS</CtryNm> <CcyNm>Euro</CcyNm> <Ccy>EUR</Ccy> <CcyNbr>978</CcyNbr> <CcyMnrUnts>2</CcyMnrUnts> </CcyNtry> ... </CcyTbl> </ISO_4217>
DOACCThe cryptocurrency domain has DOACC (Description of a Cryptocurrency), an exhaustive collection of metadata about cryptocurrency (incl trading symbol) supported by a couple of accompanying ontologies ( DOACC and CCY) that precisely define the metadata terms (e.g. “symbol”) using a computationally-tractable representation (OWL). The project maintains an RDF graph representation of the metadata for over 2000 altcoins. The metadata description and the collection are under an open source licence and use a purl.org URL (group-owned eventually, if'n'when purl.org admins allow). Minkiz presents the DOACC graph as a Linked Open Data that is both browsable: https://minkiz.co/page/Repository/Da0770ce7-0c77-4295-b225-a54a277a7828and queryable as a SPARQL endpoint. Try pasting the query below into the text box on https://minkiz.co/sparql, it'll return the DOACC URI, name and symbol for the first 25 coins, ordered by symbol: PREFIX skos: <http://www.w3.org/2004/02/skos/core#> PREFIX doacc: <http://purl.org/net/bel-epa/doacc#>
SELECT ?node ?label ?symbol WHERE { ?node skos:prefLabel ?label . ?node doacc:symbol ?symbol . } ORDER BY ?symbol LIMIT 25
or use this canned query linkCheers Graham

I am going to say this again but very simply... (how to remove pools)
We make it so that block is just a hash and does not relate to a mining address at all.
Then once a miner finds a valid block, we somehow get masternodes to confirm that a specific address mined it. (the miner submits his address to the masternodes with the block data)
This means that when a pool's miners finds a block, the block finder can swap out the pool's address with his address when he submits it to the masternodes. No one will know if he was mining as part of the pool or not because the submitted block has no information that relates it to the pool.
C'mon whats wrong with it this time?

Dunno yet, but please add it as an issue ticket to the spreadcoin github repos: https://github.com/spreadcoin/spreadcoin/issues so that any consequent technical discussion has a half-decent chance of remaining coherent. Cheers Graham
