I suppose that at this point you can get more SPR if you mine at a multipool or some other coin and just use the earned BTC to buy SPR.
Well that's what I've pretty much been doing so far lol until I get paid and can buy more BTC to invest in this coin lol but I have been working on setting up a mining rig and was wondering what would be the best mining rigs to set up for algos like this coin?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I run (10) Nvidia 750ti's on this coin and make around 50-75 SPR per day at the current difficulties.  You can pick up the EVGA 750ti's for about $150 each new or about $100 each used.  They are really cost effective to run as far as power goes.  Before the difficulty spiked I was earning around 125-175 SPR per day.  Not bad.

The profit of mining SPR now is much more than most coins in the market.

Nice Thank you so much for answering my questions and to install these is no problem? Like I'm pretty computer illiterate and don't really understand too much when it comes to computers and what to do with them but I've been researching and studying nonstop to learn all I can about computers because I really want to join this rat race of mining altcoins and programming miners and what not Smiley Also it is very nice to see SpreadCoin action and the dumper of those coins will regret later unless they are mining lots of these coins like crazy then they are taking in a decent profit as of right now Smiley Cheers Smiley

You guys need to follow Wolf0 and his custom builds/kernels.

I'm getting 3.8M on my 290 trixx using amd 14.9 drivers installed on the system, and 14.6 RC2 drivers in the sgminer folder.

The 14.9 driver install package can be found here http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/amd-catalyst-14-9-whql-(14-301-1001-september-15)-download,1.html

For those in need of only the 14.6 RC2 kernel drivers, they are already zipped up here https://mega.co.nz/#!MRkTGAzY!LHu_mWUC97kPKo1n5Q0TEGHQpzsOtNiDECn0t8VXACo.
These are the actual files you need to move to your SGminer folder.

Make sure to delete every .bin file first!

Do you just change your mind every other page, or what? Smiley

pretty much.

Some people also think that businesses are just built. They very rarely think about the huge amount of effort that goes into building something.

Also, I'm still trying to figure out what's stopping other coins from adopting the solo mining fix.

Probably the fact that most coins are just in it for the pooled mining and dumping aspect of making a quick buck that would be my guess Smiley

I have updated AMD miner. Now it is as simple as just starting the miner on the same machine as wallet (at least if your wallet is not password protected, I plan to simplify mining for this case as well).
http://spreadcoin.net/files/Spread-GPU-miner.7z
No configuration is required. You need wallet version at least 0.9.15.2 for this no-configuration trick to work.

If you need some special settings (e.g. you want to run miner on a different machine) then you still need to do some configuration via spreadcoin.conf.

For your safety, always check before downloading that all executable files released by me are hosted on spreadcoin.net and never download from quoted posts, other users may modify links there.

Also, I'm still trying to figure out what's stopping other coins from adopting the solo mining fix.
Adding it to an existing coin will pretty much disrupt mining, all miners will need to download new mining software and reconfigure mining. Pools will become useless, some miners will consider solo mining to be too random and switch to other coins. The distribution of new coins will change. Making this switch flawless is also a significant problem - you don't know what hashrate will be after hardfork, blocks will be generated either too fast or too slow. Miners will need either to manually switch their software to the new version at hardfork (this will lead to fast hashrate change as more and more miners will start new software) or it must be automated (which requires work by some dev who will need to patch both AMD and Nvidia miners).

I'm averaging .80 blocks/MH/day the past three days if my math is correct. This is inline with pokeytex's results. Running the Nvidia GPU miner on win 8.1.

Runninig 10 750ti's also. I mined 12 blocks on 12/26 and 13 blocks on 12/27.

You can spank me because I did not mine from the 22-25. Sad

Wish I would not have stopped.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink
