X11 ASICS on the market in mass soon there are already some FPGA
SpreadX11 is not X11 .They are different algos.

The main difference is that every block is signed with private key yes? I would still see the X11 asics explode the hashrate soon.

If SpreadX11 algo is cracked by FPGA or ASIC,that would be a disaster.  Sad

From what I gathered from the White Paper, the block is signed by the miner then hashed into a completed block using SHA 256 -- I think this would rule out X11 ASIC unless this concept were included from the start.

**please let me know if I'm wrong in this understanding on this**

I think Mr. Spread is smart enough to have already thought of that already Smiley This guy is on top of everything and in 2015 it will be the world!! "Spreading the Love with Cryptos" "SpreadCoin beating the Spread in the CryptoCurrency market" Those will be our slogans for 2015!!

It might rule out X11 ASIC, but software can compensate for that difference if someone just develops one and in any case if no ASICS there is still only few hunders of rigs mining this and this is best coin to mine every GPU miner will mine this soon.

- No pool fees or hidden scam fees
- No downtime with pools / very steady algo no crashing and low heat
- Can't send fake shares to pool and eat other miners shares
- No whale duming mass pools
- Fun old school mining seeing when you find those blocks yourself

This is really the best coin to mine for GPU user and if more FPGA and ASIC comes soon then network hash explodes, difficulty and the price with it... So be it

I'm all for the price of this coin exploding I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with that happening Smiley

If you mean GPU mine the answers can be found somewhere before page 50 for that it's not just start.bat you need to edit but also make spagecoin.conf in your appdata/roaming/sparecoin directory and then when that is configured you run the wallet first and then the miner.

Just keep reading the pages before 50 there's all you need if my memory servers too busy right now to lay it all out for you sorry  Tongue but while you are at it maybe you could do a DUMMY guide for the whole community?

Many miners turn away probably because it's not your usual coin mine

If you're asking that question then the answer is probably no.

X11 ASICs and FPGAs will not be usable for SpreadCoin. They will require some non-trivial modifications.

Well when I run my miner it says #include blake.cl and then shuts down??? any ideas why this might be? I have the amd 14.9 catalyst thingy as well Smiley
For me this happens when I try to mine on integrated Intel GPU.

Try to run:
Code:
sgminer --ndevs
pause
It will print you all your devices on which you can mine, you will see if there is an AMD card.

I had tried the latest version and now it just didn't show any error but just closes when any key's been pressed.
Really hard to say why this is happening, I tried latest drivers at it works for me.
It doesn't output any information at all?

No information. I had tried with 14.9 version too, and the same happens.
Couldn't able to figure out whats the real problem.

If you are a miner with little hashpower,I recommend you to give up mining for you'll get nothing for long time.

Hi Spreadcoin People,

Our IRC bot is up and running on #Spreadcoin IRC channel (on Freenode), and needs some testing.

Type !help for the list of available commands.

Any comments or suggestions are very welcome, more functions to come.

The bot also has a mining profit calculator, which seems not to be present yet on any websites (defunct ones do not count).

Working to make Spreadcoin community better!

Cheers Smiley
