Over 1400 BTC worth in CNY were invested in NXT during the last day - again, causing Nxt to jump up a few places on Coinmarketcap.com. I don't know why the chinese are buying into Nxt ATM, maybe they know something we don't!?

What is in your opinion the best altcoin to invest in for 2015 and why. Pls add why Personally I have interest in some older 'proven to be solid-' POS coins with not too high stake, it dillutes the amount of existing coins and it will be harder for the price to rise. So I decided to hold lots of CBX with only 2% max annual inflation and technically flawless. From the newer coins I got RDD's (5% annual) because it has a great niche on social media platforms, it seems nowadays everyone has some accounts so it's a big potential market, good coins to hold longterm. CBX: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951753.0RDD: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423597.0HZ: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=823785.0Added on to Primecoin, 10,000 sat is just way too cheap not to buy [/qu I can have a try.

I'll have to go with SDC, BLK, BAY, START (at the moment at least)
SDC and BLK have shown constant growth overtime with no big jump in short period of time. When I invest my hard earned bitcoin I have to make sure that there is no big jump (whether upward or downward I don't care). BAY has been looking solid and it has no whales so it can have great future. It has been fluctuating between 50-100 sat) for last 8 months...so I would consider it a good investment.

I haven't seen much coins that do not make big jumps. Crypto's are volatile, gathering steam for long periods and then suddenly be unleashed and jump 300-500% up or down. Just like LTC - $1 - $9 - $6 - $48 -$30 - $12 - $24 - $2 -$5 ... what next.

Buy a bit of everything. Remember that guy who turned $27 into $1 million. That only works if you buy the coins when they are like fractions of a cent.
That's kind of what I've been doing, tossing $20 into everything that has at least some trade volume on Bittrex. However my perspective is that there is no way so many cryptocurrencies are going to go mainstream, they are still complicated and enough people arn't even ever going to use Bitcoin. There also has to be some intrinsic value of use. Why is everyone going to waste their time switching to the next crypto currency that comes out every month ? What applicable value does the crypto currency have ? Is it being implimented by a bank or some stupid chat program ? Basically what's the value of the entity or asset that issues it.

there is no best Altcoin . you have to diversify your investments. try to invest in new coins. Tendencies show that there is a pump in the first 2-4 weeks in a lifecycle of a new coin. Sure you will fail at some, but if you catch one good...

All alt coins are a gamble. Most are pump and dumps suckling out the bitcoin value

Give Specie (SPX) a try. It's so below it's ICO price right now it's scary (and the perfect time to accumulate ) The dev just announced a coin burn coming up on August 1st which will be almost half the supply! Easy profit
