Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I don't want to start using my spare HD to start mining burst coin.

I just want to know:

Let's say I have 1 TB hard drive. How many coins will be mine in 24 hours?

hey speed, did you try to priorise java in the task manager and then increase the xms to 2048 or more?

I've tried 3072 and that shot the ram usage to 7.8 of 8GB ram. How would prioritizing java help? I'll try it, but I don't see logically how that helps.

Come on guys, support BURSTMULTIPOOL - it might be the only thing buying some of your coins lol.

Asset 11375670541237055652

Click asset exchange on the left
Click add asset
paste in 11375670541237055652
Go to open orders
and place some buy orders.

100% of the proceeds will be used to buy mining ASICs to use on the pool and 100% of the BURST earned will be send out to the asset holders as a dividend.
only 60 shares have sold (that's only 60,000 BURST, which isn't even 0.2 BTC - nowhere near enough for ASIC equipment.)
If the asset doesn't get some support soon I'll just post a buy order to buy everyone's shares back from them and fold up

I'm going to buy 50 right now, so don't go anywhere yet.
TY
we desperately need more supporters like this.
I am also willing to sell shares directly for BTC
contact me for a BTC wallet address - same deal applies, 100% of all funds raised will go towards ASIC hardware.
I will send the appropriate number of shares directly to anyone who buys shares in bulk with BTC. (currently 1000 BURST buys 1 share)
the proceeds from the ASIC hardware will be split 100% amongst the shareholders (excluding the asset issuer, of course)

buying another 60. Bored and hoping this will go somewhere, because I'm definitely not selling my burst at these prices.

One thing I want to know...

Since these are going towards the purchase of new mining hardware (asics), when will you cash to BTC in order to buy them? Are you going to wait for the prices to be a certain number before cashing out? Or as soon as you have enough in theory to get... (WHICH asic btw?) you'll cash out... because waiting for a higher price is probably the better idea... but I don't know you probably have more experience than I do. So, let me know what you're going to do. Thanks!

@Dev

In the new wallet 1.1.2, on my laptop with resolution 1366x768, I cannot see all the right column.. I mean, I've to zoom out the page to see "Aliases" and "Blocks"..

On 1.1.1 there isn't this issue! Maybe because now there are more voices!

Quick question. Is it safe to Mine with USB 2.0 External HDD?, does data transfer speed affect mining speed?

More people find out about BURST. But unfortunately they look like dumpers

There is a guy there saying he got 900 TB in office. Good luck plotting them using his office hardware. Maybe his office is using supercomputer ?  Grin

Hi guys, late comer to the burst coin, takes to long to read through this long thread so I was hoping if someone can answer a few questions for me:

1. Plotting: Can I use a separate computer to just do plotting? then once the plotting finishes, move the drive (or plot files) to a separate machine to do the mining?  Do I have to mine on the same machine that does the plotting?

2. I have four 1TB hard drives, can I plot 0 to 200000 on disk1, 200001 to 400000 on disk2,  400001 to 600000 on disk3, and 600000 to 800000 on disk4

would my miner be more efficient if I mine the 4 disks in separate machine or will be the same if I use symlink and mine on 1 dedicated machine?

thank you for any inputs.

Doesn't matter. Mining speed is based on HDD space. Plotting will keep your processor very busy so if you can, try to plot with a machine exclusively for that task.

1. Sure
2. Thats the correct way to do it.

I think all the miners currently only read with one thread, so it's a little better not to symlink them because it will take longer to read, but it likely won't matter much. You can always run multiple miner instances also.

Its not optimal, but it will work.
