i won't sell for < 200 anymore ... will bunker it ;-)

anymore? LOL. You sold so cheap? Did you ever do the maths? I'm not even sure you can pay your electricity with that price nor your initial investment in HDDs.

For every newcomer: You can mine for fun now and with free available disk space. But instead of buying new HDDs for hundrets of bucks you can just buy them for nothing now. It's impossible to mine with 4 TB HDD (140 Dollar) an amount of 220,000 Bursts (22 Blocks).

And never forget the rising difficulty ...!

- why should they buy BURST coins even at 150 satoshi? To sell later at 100 ?

Why should they buy HDDs to mine this coin at all time low? Nobody can predict the future, but buying at all time low doesn't seem so stupid at all.

Maybe the value goes up, maybe there will be another poc coin where the HDD investment pays out, maybe
the whole fucking planet explodes tomorrow.

We don´t know, just don´t dump the coin a have patience.

I'm buying more shares

So far only 200 assets have sold for BMPOOL.
If the community does not want the idea of community owned hardware to continually create buy pressure, then I will not press it.  God knows I am busy enough already with the hashrate NXT community pool.

The asset # on the Burst AE is 11375670541237055652

Unless there are some more sizable investors soon, the idea will be abandoned and I will issue buy orders to buy back every share that was sold.

(the pool would not be investing in hashlets or the same Scrypt/SHA ASIC hardware that anyone else can buy and get hosted - we would be purchasing additional Scrypt-N FPGA hosted equipment the same way the Hashrate pool has recently invested (as it has an absolutely amazing ROI - less than 6 weeks).
no, I won't post the FPGA provider or manufacturer either. Smiley

I will never buy above 100 sat, after watching most of the miners boost about making huge profits since they considered Burst mining free. No electricity and they can still return the HDD back to the store.

Yes these noobs are killing their profit LOL.
But actually not anymore. Diff grows and block reward drops. 100 sat should be the bottom floor. Except the accidental dumps from early miners, new miners won't dump their coin lower than 100 sat.

Just so that everyone knows, http://burst.today/?page_id=2  now has the beta of the GUI available for download.

It's just a BETA right now, and it only does solo mining at the moment.

We are going to be setting up a private pool that will work with it here shortly as well. But yea, you can at the very least use this if you are NEW TO BURST AND DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!

THIS PROGRAM WILL HELP YOU DOWNLOAD EVERYTHING, AND PLOT, THEN IT WILL HELP YOU TO START SOLO MINING. IF YOU WANT TO USE IT JUST TO PLOT, THEN POOL MINE, YOU CAN DO THAT AS WELL.

I'm trying to  get a few newbies to test it, and let me know what they think so that I can pass the words to the developer. We will be making updates regularly, and changes as people request them. Hoping to keep adding value to BURST!

Thanks!

Hi, attempting to mine burst using the new GUI, wallet installs fine, when I click begin plotting, i get  an error box stating 'unhandled exception has occurred,, Index was outside the bounds of array'

any ideas?
cheers

I'm having the dev take a look now.

Good news, file is now 80% through (unfortinatly went down to 18k n/m) but is dont see a deadline higher than 1mio.
Average like 700k, best in the last 30min. about 100k, so much better than before and the most important,
absolutely no ram problems.

Semms like the super high ram usage was complety caused by the bad plot file.

Thanks for your help guys, seems like i can actually mine something, will see Cheesy

EDIT: uh, just got a 60k, nevermind Cheesy

fabula

nothing you can do, its just that this coin and many others were unlucky to be released in this bad time, even bitcoin is suffering it

there are simply no enough interest in cryptoworld

Or maybe HDD coin is wrong. It's new, but it doesn't mean that is good or the future.
More a coin is hard to mine and more user can't mine a coin, more are involved to buy and move market.

99% of new coin now are more quoted thatn BURST.
Maybe cause if you don't instamine them, or just mine after 24 hours, difficult will rise so much that is more profitable to buy instead of buy.

Look darcoin,blackcoin,bitcoindark,vericoin etc etc.
Investor look theyr thread, try to mine, realize that they simply can't and invest.

With burst, investor look this thread, read many times about FREE COIN with HDD and just set-up theyr miner.
This is a short term crypto.

HDD is innovative, but don't means that is good or that become a new standard. I have the same feeling when GPUcoin coming out. Now GPUcoin is dead.
