Meanwhile, I woke up to 4 new blocks while you guys waste mining time on pools that only half work.  Huh

Solo is where it's at.

how many days for those? if one, that's just luck i guess

His screen shot show couple of days with only 1 block.

According to his screen shot, he get about 2.6 block each day on average which is worst than what i can get from pool average out the same period.

I will stick to pool mining. More predictable

If he exclude good day like today , his result is even worst. Average out to be 2.25 block per day.

He got his best day today. Without it , pool mining look like a really good deal.

2.6s block on average per day, is very good for just 15tb, see the calculator, he should get only one block at current diff, on 10 sept diff was at 3k at lowest, so at best x2 block, he is still above that

maybe u should try solo and tell us your result. I will stick to pool because i like what i see.

i think he just got lucky today, on 30 day he will end the same as the pool minus fee

mining in solo is always good unless the diff keeps rising fast, which isn't exactly the case in this coin

despite this i'll stick with the pool because i'm making what the calculator say

Exactly. Given enough time solo and pool will basically equal out with any coin, this one is no different in that aspect. The advantage to pool mining, is that I earn more by not paying the pool's fee, and I avoid any downtime that could be cause by the pool malfunctioning. Solo mining also helps to keep things decentralized.

In case of raising difficulty solo will lose out real quick if u have a very bad luck.

No, it won't. "Luck" evens out given enough time if you're able to be patient and not expect instant gratification. Both will earn less with rising difficulty, evenly. SOLO wins out for not having pool fees to pay, and no risks of downtime due to DDOS or other pool problems..

I think it depend on individual. Solo mining is not for everyone and its not the best or worst option.

It doesn't, it is math. What we perceive as luck are statistical variations. That being said, you're right. Solo probably isn't for everyone, and I'm happy that pools are an option. I just think that burst pools have some growing up to do before I'll consider using them.

i still prefer the constant payout and if price raises fast i can sell my coin immediately. For solo , luck is involve. If u are on a bad day when price is high , and have a good day when price from high go down 50% , pool mining will look like a good option because u dont have to wait for math to average out

For sure. That could be a factor. Let's hope I'm having a good day, like today, if I run in to that situation!

Another pool is up
http://burstpool.ddns.net:8080
Do the reward assignment to address BURST-7CPJ-BW8N-U4XF-CWW3U, wait 4 confirms then you can mine on pool.
Come on people, lets test this, see if it works. Spread the hashrate. Current pools are overloaded.
Miner connects to port 8124

Waiting for people to come forward, stating that they started to mine here and what space they got
While we wait for v3 this is the best we got.

Hello,
I started mining this coin and I generated  1x 40 GB with CPU and 2x 95 GB with GPU and my problem is , when i mining  I see this

Submitting share
Error: Failed to submit nonce, retrying...
Error: Failed to submit nonce

more then success submit Cheesy  I try tu count it and is 10:1 for Failed submit Sad . I also tried run mining with only CPU ganerated plots  and also change the pool, but  it did not help.
Can someone help  me with this ?

If help ,this is my run_mine.bat
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1500m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner mine "http://burst-pool2.cryptoport.io:80"
PAUSE
note: When i change this  parameter "-Xmx1500m" to higer value it shows "Java error - not enough memmory". Have instaled 4 GB RAM and set Paging FIle size to 7168 MB

Did you registed your adress in the pool? You see a guide on the howto site of every pool.

Yes, I do every step in guide , I also found my Burst adress on pool in Current round shares where there these numbers whit my adress 90602 years 0.0 8.3 (I think first is deadline but two other I do not know what they mean) and in All round Shares  these a moth ago 0.79 [8] (There I also do not know what two last numbers means)

Hi guys, I have a problem with the wallet several days that I have been downloading blockchain ago and is still in the same place unchanged, what is the problem? Huh

I've seen the same thing in my 1.1.1 wallet, it has a little window down in the corner saying it is downloading the blockchain, but it never makes any progress.

My guess is incompetent programming from the wallet maker.

Step 6: Copy your account number and paste it into the run_generate .bat file along with your plot description and how many threads you wish to use. plottostartwith=0 or 1 / plottoendwith=800000 (for every 200 Gig section)

Example for this is:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate *youraccount#* *plot#tostartwith* *plot#toendwith* 1000 4

I do not understand this (*youraccount#* *plot#tostartwith* *plot#toendwith* 1000 4). What and how of this needs to be replaced? Can me someone  mention a specific example? Thank you!

There is a very detailed explanation in the official site's mining guide:
http://burstcoin.info/miner.php

If you need a way to calculate the number of plots, you can divide the size of the free space you want to use (in kB) at 256 (as each plot is 256kB).
For example if you want to mine with 500GB you have to get the size in kilobytes which is 524288000 (easiest way is using a byte converter) and divide it by 256. The result is 2048000 and if this is the first file in the plots folder you should replace *plot#tostartwith* *plot#toendwith* with 0 and 2048000

15TB plotted so far. I'd solo mine with 3TB or higher. This coin is still young enough to solo mine, don't waste it pool mining especially while there still seems to be issues with pools. Be realistic while solo mining, don't get scared about not finding a block 6 hours in to solo mining and switch back to pool. Stick with it for a few days, you'll see that you're making more than if you were pool mining.

Could you please post your last hundred deadlines?  I'm at about that size (13.6TB), and I'm a bit scared by how high the deadlines are, partly because I'm testing a customized plotter.  No way I'd be getting blocks at the rate you've described without some incredible luck.  But it could be a jump in difficulty.
