Can I just make a pause in creating plots? And resume it later?

You can just abort it and use the so-far-plotted file. Later on start with a nonce above the first limit to be safe.

Just quit the terminal? Or should I write something like "stop" "pause" etc.?

I started mining and I've got some errors:

Code:
{"generationSignature":"ec8f7607670edbb3ff36d9f8fdd0860cff491b1bdf05e43845ea530f495d1999","baseTarget":"71509783","height":"2731"}
Error reading file: 8145016451191472413_1_800000_2000
Error reading file: 8145016451191472413_1_800000_500

I stopped creating plots in this "500" file and it has only 24GB. Then I started creating plots in "2000" file, then started minig.

I dont think anyone has a an answer for that. Someone made a guess at it a few days ago but there is no network "hash" rate that we can view.

Ok. Next question- anyone can say what speed compilation on amd FX 8320-8350? My Core I7 2600 working at 29 GB per hour and i think that slow and FX to be faster.

for the reference: core I5 750 at 4.2 GGZ= 17 GB per Hour
Celeron 1610 = 11.2 GB per hour
Core I5 2300= 16.3 GB per hour

You can ignore that error. The miner tries to read past the file limits - where you stopped plotting - but all nonces so far have been processed.

If you plan on using 500GB or more for plot files consider a larger stagger size. With 500 it will cause lots of disk seeks.

Hey everyone

Could we pay Bittrex to add Burst? I saw recently that other coins paid a small fee to Bittrex for early listings. If this can be done I'll be willing to pay the fee.

C-cex has put us in an awkward position now, the problem is that we have too many miners willing to dump and too few investors. The only reason for the few investors is that, let's face it, C-cex is a dead exchange with almost no volume. Bittrex would bring more investors and more importantly more exposure to Burst

How much is that fee? I'm willing to add some BURST to it.

I've also spoken with the block explorer maker and he tolds me that it will be ready in 8 hours!

Who can contact Bittrex?! I've spoken in the trollbox about this coin but I think it isn't enough! We need also lot of people twitting them about adding the coin!

Looks like we have a problem with the amount of coin.

I know its a soar subject with most threads but maybe its time to drop the amount of total coins and rewards so that peope don't freak out about the 3 million a day part.

Just let them sell off their early coins (and maybe grab some) ... it's all about trade volume ... if trex notices a growing volume in BURST trading ... they will add it ... I have seen that on e.g. SDC, BOOM and some other coins before ... if trade volume hits place 1 at c-cex, it's on trex next days :-) ... maybe we just wait until withdraw issue is fixed, and volume contains growing ... want to get some cheap BURST before it hits a bigger exchange!

Just quit the terminal? Or should I write something like "stop" "pause" etc.?

Is there any way to calculate perfect stagger size? Next plot file is with 2000, 3000 was too much (not enoough hype space or sth)

your stagger size should be in the same range (not higher) than memory, e.g. if u use -Xmx8191m in your start_generate.bat/.sh ... stagger size should be 8191 ... whats the max. i think ... amount of memory depends on your hardware ... e.g. makes no sense to set it to -Xmx8191m with 4GB ram :-)  thats how i have choosen my stagger size ... just to understand ... the hole thing is generated in memory before its written down to your hard drive.
