They do overlap! You need to use seperate ranges.

If you are working on two different wallet, with two password there is no problem, they will not overlap, but if you are using the same password on each PC for generate the plot, they will overlap!

You are correct. Anyway I dont get the point why everyone is trying to pack their ranges as close together as possible. You have 2^64 to choose from, and block finding changes are equal for all of them.
So why not start the next one at 10M? 1G? 10G?

What I'd really like to do next is create a front-end for POCMiner, kind of like GUIMiner, though coding isn't my expertise. If anyone can code a front end for POCMiner I can design the UI. PM me if anyone is interested in this task and is capable of it's requirements.

I'll be handing out bounties from my stash to those who can get it working with Burst. I don't think it would be too hard, the process would be the same as the NXT client, and the one-click-install client is also open source (you can view the source code via xcode).

A lot of us did. Just as a rule make sure that NONE of your plots EVER overlap. done and done.

No, that error has nothing to do with overlap.

No, it's because the miner reads an incomplete file while you are still generating, but it won't affect mining! For every new block, the miner will read the entire plot, so you'll see that error until you've finished the generation!
