Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Should be more than that, how did you stake? I recommend staking with 6 x 500 XMG.

So we can run two different wallets on one pc to solve the issue above? How do we go about allowing two wallets to exist on the same pc?

No need of two wallets (you can't run two either); simply send over 500 XMG six times (assuming total 3000 XMG) to one or different addresses.

You don't need 2 wallets. Staking works not on all sum of coins in your wallet. Only on coins in transaction.

You just need make 6 transactions to yourself.

Go to settings and check -> options -> display -> display coin control features. After that go to Send Coins -> Inputs. Here you will see amount of monet per transaction, date, etc...
If you have many small transaction, you need to check them and create 1 big, setup 500xmg in this transaction and sent it to yourself.
If you have 3000xmg you need 6x500 xmg. So after you complite this operation you will see in inputs only 6 transaction and every transaction will have 500 xmg.

Unfortunately it's following the price of BTC and other coins. People are panic and selling crypto to FIAT. At Cryptsy, BTC crashed down from $281 to $222 in the last 24h.

Btc panic-sell = bad sell -- other coins will feel that also.
Magi can use this moment to grow. Other people will invest in Magi. Bitstamp is also back online.

Welcome to the magi community. Good to have you with us.

PoW = proof of work = mining coins with hardware
PoS = proof of stake = leave your wallet open, secure the blockchain (finding blocks to process transactions)

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Proof_of_Stake detailed explanation

Transfer the 25 coins into your Magi wallet and stake them via the explanation provided here to get more coins and support the network.

If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask. That's why we are here.

New wallet v1.2.1.1 (not mandatory, but strongly recommended):

http://coinmagi.org/files/magi-release/m-wallet-1.2.1.1-win.zip
http://coinmagi.org/files/magi-release/m-wallet-1.2.1.1-macosx.dmg
http://coinmagi.org/files/magi-release/m-wallet-1.2.1.1-linux.tar.gz

Source code: https://github.com/magi-project/magi

Compiling from the source code is recommended for linux. The new wallet fixes public key for delivering messages into "error" section (command line) or the status bar of the Qt client. Also a few other updates are included in the new version.

Enclosed include the 64 bit wallet. The compilation really spent me some time; the 64 bit wallet was keeping crashing, but pretty fine now as I tested in all of my home computers (windows8). To be safe, PLEASE rename the folder %appdata%\magi to something else before the first run, so that you will have the original block data untouched if something goes wrong. By confirming everything works properly, then close the wallet, rename the folder back to %appdata%\magi and restart the client. BE SURE make a backup of wallet.dat.

Let me know any issues and desired improvements.

Love the new x64 Magi Wallet, it runs way better (and faster) on Win 7 x64!
Thanks!
