I'm sorry, i could not resist buying, bought 17K.

Grin I don't hear someone complaining about Wink good prices to buy, especially as soon the payment gateway will be launched.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I don't understand why some are selling XMG for 3000sat at this time. Time, energy and costs needed to mine 1 XMG are more expensive than 3000sat, isn't it?

Yea! I don't know why but somebody is trying to get the price down.
If you look at other exchanges is almost double that price.
This guy has a plan!

Magi is a very nice and rare coin. I don't care about the market prices, as it really is dedicated by the community at large. There is features that will come out of the Magi DNA and you'll all be ground breaking the new innovations of the future.  I think we just need to spread the message across some more.

Do we have a market place for buying/selling XMG other than Exchanges?

I support Magi the first anti-botnet mining network to give regular miners the fair chance of mining. Talk to #Magi on IRC: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/#magi or on BitcoinTalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.0

Very true. In many ways I am loving this price crash. I have felt for quite some time that Bitcoin was coming to a natural dead-end. A new champion will emerge as the new "gold standard". There is a shake-up going on and XMG has strength in depth with a forward-looking development plan.

We could do with new markets. I thought a direct currency exchange UKP/XMG would be really useful here in the UK. How difficult would that be?

I agree and think Magi is will become the new bitcoin. Remember mining Magi is how Satoshi meant mining btc to be in 2009! Idea about exchange is a very cool idea Spexx. If a exchange like that is developed for Magi in combination with marketplace and coming payment gateway Magi really will become the new btc.

My thoughts exactly. The more national currency/XMG exchanges there are, then the better for stability and "true worth". I already think of one UK pound as about 100 XMG. They are worth at least that much to me anyway Cheesy

How would one go about "staking" coins?

There was discussion about this recently. Essentially, moving coins around creates transactions. These transactions will be staked a few days later. See this posting:-

So all I have to do is to move coins from one address to another and after a few days I will have rewards from staking depending on the the amount of coins I stake or move around?

Yep, that's the ticket. I run two wallets (on two old junk-pile Pentiums) and regularly move a few hundred XMG around. Make sure that you do not "send" coins while the wallet is showing an amount "in stake". One little tip here is that after you have sent some coins, you must remember to unlock the wallet for staking again afterwards (which is a bit of a pain actually but there we are).

This new song was especially made for Magicoin. While singing, these girls were thinking of our great Magic dev Joe!
