where to download miner with support for SSE2,SSE3,SSE4 instructions? there is such a miner?
The generic 64 bit miner from here supports SSE/SSE2 as standard. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9732786#msg9732786There was no advantage to be had from enabling SSE3/SSE4 instructions over SSE/SSE2 as far as I could tell. The miner with support for AVX instructions is only 0.8 to 1.0 percent quicker than the generic version and this was difficult to measure. It may be that any difference between SSE/SSE2/SSE3/SSE4 may be within the limits of measurement, which are about +/- 0.3 percent.

How can I compile the wallet for ubuntu. I perform cd ~/magi-master/, then qmake USE_UPNP=- and I get next: Usage: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qmake [mode] [options] [files]
QMake has two modes, one mode for generating project files based on some heuristics, and the other for generating makefiles. Normally you shouldn't need to specify a mode, as makefile generation is the default mode for qmake, but you may use this to test qmake on an existing project

For example add the QT variable to specify what modules are required. -makefile Put qmake into makefile generation mode (default) In this mode qmake interprets files as project files to be processed, if skipped qmake will try to find a project file in your current working directory
Warnings Options: -Wnone Turn off all warnings; specific ones may be re-enabled by later -W options -Wall Turn on all warnings -Wparser Turn on parser warnings -Wlogic Turn on logic warnings (on by default) -Wdeprecated Turn on deprecation warnings (on by default)

This is the steps I do when compiling the wallet with gui support qmake magi-qt.pro USE_UPNP=- && make
Please note if you are using Qt5 you need qmake-qt4 instead of qmake. Since i'm using Qt5 on my system, my qmake command for is qmake-qt4 cd src/ makefile -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-

Could you try this git and let us know how is going: https://github.com/magi-project/magi-minerdThis is only for solo mining; for pool mining: https://github.com/noncepool/m7magi-cpuminer-v2

My guess is that you need to add something like this to the config file (using your local lan ip value of box miner is running on): rpcallowip=192.168.254.7 Or if mining on the same box as the wallet this might solve it: rpcallowip=localhost Also you might check that your rpcuser and rpcpassword are set to the correct values in the config file and miner. Best of luck!

are you not using the proper local config settings for solo? what is your config like?

Unfortunately, 500 Internal Server Error is a generic error message that tells you precisely nothing However in this context it usually means that there is a problem with your Magi.conf file. You need to include:- rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 which allows your local computer "localhost" address to connect to the wallet.

well this is weird, i managed to get it running of sorts. Now it's just saying
[2014-12-12 21:42:24] 1 miner threads started, using 'm7mhash' algorithm. [2014-12-12 21:42:24] No payout address provided, switching to getwork
Am i missing a step somewhere during the set up of the config file?
