>>DAILY UPDATE 20.09.2014<<

Where Fibre is after 5 weeks ?

23/08/2014 Released FibreWallet version 1.1 with better styling and built in blockexplorer

27/08/2014 Killakem attains the top rating of 5+ POD from CryptoAsian http://cryptoasian.com/fibre-fibre/

29/08/2014 Fibre added to Bittrex https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-FIBRE

30/08/2014 Released FibreWallet version 1.2 with FibreConnect - encrypted messaging and statistics page

31/08/2014 Fibre accepted and implemented by https://coingateway.net/ accessing the biggest BTC merchants

11/09/2014 10.000 Fibre distributed through social giveaway - over 4 BTC worth of Fibre were sent to people

13/09/2014 Released version 2.0 - FibreDark (Fibre Tor Hybrid Network) details - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=737771.msg8809836#msg8809836 when using FibreDark wallet You are connecting to the main network through TOR to hide Your identity while connected. The wallet will automatically use TOR, that will make your ip address and location unknown on the network. You can use wallet version 1.2 and 2.0 as it is a hybrid network and supports a mixed mode environment of both TOR enabled and standard wallet. Staking works in wallets versions 1.2 and 2.0

13/09/2014 Released FibreNotify - with FibreNotify we will be able to send messages to every wallet on the network. I’m not aware of any coin with a similar feature ! You don`t need to update Your wallet to the latest version as it is already implemented in version 1.2

13/09/2014 FibreBoard requirements revealed - for those that are not aware, Fibre will be the first digital currency to have an Advisory Board formed from it’s community that actually have the power to make a difference. The FibreBoard will be made up of 17 community members that have more than 10,000 Fibre, how to apply - http://www.fibrecoin.com/fibreboard/

14/09/2014 CoinsSource verification done - To gain even more trust and give new investors even more confidence Fibre went through Coins Source verification also. We got 6/7 score, the remaining point will be awarded upon 30 days of the initial listing on Bittrex exchange http://www.coinssource.com/trust-index/fibre-fibre-trust-verification/

20/09/2014 Fibre added to Poloniex and Cryptsy

We would like to express a huge gratitude to Bittrex, Poloniex and Cryptsy exchanges for supporting Fibre !

Poloniex had a dozen of detailed tech questions to get us listed

Through getting added we had met some real professional indivduals in Rami and Richie(Bittrex), MobyDick(Poloniex), Horus(Cryptsy), it was a pleasure working with you

Richie and Rami You noticed us first , a Big Thankyou !

What is in progress ?

20/09/2014 FibreOS Private Beta Testing with independent testers: In Progress

22/09/2014 FibreOS Public Beta Release

26/09/2014 FibreOS Official Release:

All of our previous releases have been almost ninja launches, FibreOS deserves some media attention. So for the next week the marketing machine behind Fibre will be working hard to gain as much exposure as possible

FibreOS utilizes a custom, optimized and hardened Ubuntu environment, based on the latest version 14.04LTS. FibreOS is a secure and anonymous operating system, Anyone with a PC or laptop will be able to use FibreOS. Because the OS and Wallet data files are stored on a USB, You effectively have true cold storage, your coins will follow you wherever you go. All traffic is routed via TOR giving the user increased anonymity. When you unplug your USB stick no trace is left on the host PC. We have used the minimal install and manually installed the required applications and components which creates a lightweight and secure environment. It has stunning graphical interface. FibreDark means we do not have to rely on Tor exit nodes, which I consider to be the weak link in the Tor network. Our DarkNodes handle the routing of data between the Tor network and the standard Fibre network. We have also included the TOR Browser for anonymous Web browsing. We did not want to implement a live operating system that would destroy your wallet at shutdown. The pros out weighed the cons ten fold on that decision. It runs on low specs PC`s and is fully persistent.

Fibre Future - what is ahead ?

* Implementation of anon mixer transactions which is stage 5 of our roadmap. After stage 5 is implemented Fibre will be fully anonymous solution

* Fibre MultiPool - we contacted few professional multipool operators to make and operate Fibre MultiPool for us , thanks to it members will be able to mine Fibre again with their rigs. Multipool operator will be buying also Fibre on exchanges to make payouts what will increase value of Fibre

* Implementation of BlockCypher which is stage 6 of our roadmap. It will allow Fibre to have some of the most innovative features (Multi Sig, Multi Wallets, Lite wallets, Web based wallets, Mobile Wallets, Facebook Wallets etc...) details - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=737771.msg8786415#msg8786415

Donations for BlockCypher  BTC 1KckoFSB1gAed8HuXEQygbRHCoJFjvzwSB   FIBRE F8htgcNftaCU2aSJYUrPzNDdtzpK1Ap3Jg

* Releasing HMTL5 Wallet which will be working on all smartphones, tablets and PCs and can be published on Google Play, the Apple App Store, Windows Store, Windows Phone Store, Chrome Web Store, Tizen Store, Amazon Appstore, Firefox Marketplace, NOOK Apps and the Facebook App Center. This will give Fibre an unprecedented reach, details - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=737771.msg8786415#msg8786415

* Facebook Wallet - after BlockCypher and HTML5 wallet are in place we will be able to create new wallets integrated with biggest social networks like Facebook ! We will be able to reach a much wider audience then

* Buying and setting up Fibre ATM's - Funded Multi Coin ATM's in major city's that accept Fibre - just watch this nice movie in background https://www.bitxatm.com/ , link to product https://www.bitxatm.com/shop/bitxatm-sumo-pro/

* FibreLight - I believe that once Fibre moons like we expect, we will be able to release FibreLight. A new coin using the Fibre base source code, with a much higher coin supply. There would have to be a small ICO to fund the further development of the Fibre group. This is a far fetched idea!! Nothing may come of it, but its on our list. Having a higher coin supply will allow us to build Facebook and other games that allow you to win FibreLight

*Increased merchant acceptance - We want to add some of the largest stores to our existing list of merchants !

Join us as the future is very bright for Fibre !!!

Ok so the entry with 10K Fibre is high. Should people who don't have the amount but are active in the community apply too?

The Fibre os is amazing! Unfortunately it only has 3.5gb of space.
Which sucked because I have a 32 GB usb and my USB is only able to have one partition on it...
...or so I thought.

All you need to download (on your Windows PC) is "MiniTool Partition Wizard" from here: http://download.cnet.com/MiniTool-Partition-Wizard-Home-Edition/3001-2094_4-10962200.html?hlndr=1 (its free).
This will allow you create an extra partition to store more data than the Fibre os has.

Here's how you do it:      - Note: Do this after you have put the OS onto your usb
Open up MiniTool Partition Wizard
Right click on the allocated space in your USB and click create.
It will warn you that windows won't be able to see the partition. Click "Yes"
Name the partition label something suitable such as "Storage" and change the Filesystem Type to "Ext4".
Make the partition size as big or as small as you want. (It defaults to the largest size)
Then click "Ok"
Once you have completed these operations you will need to click the tick in the left corner with "apply" under it.
A window will pop up asking you if you want to apply the changes. Click "yes".
Your computer will now create that new partition (it'll take a while). When it has finished close the Partition Wizard and shutdown your computer.

Now when you boot the Fibre Os you can move files onto the other, much larger partition.
You also might want to run "sudo apt-get install nautilus" in terminal to be able to browse your files easily with the program that gets installed called "Files".

Probably because Fibre was added to Cryptsy and Poloniex in one night! My team and the community have really been getting in their faces all week.

Poloniex

We had completed the Coin Request form several times to no avail. We also had the community deployed on social network. I had personally tried to reach out to them personally on IRC to no avail.

Then, mxxxxxx messages me and says hes speaking with MobyDick!! After some back and forth between them a meeting is setup between myself and MobyDick. At this point I cant express the feeling that was running through me. After all our hardwork, we was finally about to take our seat at the crypto heavy weights table.

MobyDick had so many questions that I was caught off guard slightly, but it wasn't a problem. He wanted to know about the Early blocks before 200, the Premine, POS interest and max coins etc etc.

There Dev Team even requested a code change before listing.

It was a great experience and MobyDick is a really cool guy!!

Thanks Mobydick and Poloniex

Cryptsy

I'm not too sure what happened here. We was added to Poloniex and when I came to update the OP, there was a post saying Fibre is on cryptsy. It has been one hell of a Saturday.

If your involved with Fibre, you must love Saturdays by now
