A claim which is completely unverifiable.
Now reread the OP here and decide for yourself whether anything they say is to be given any weight whatsoever without independent verification. I have my opinion on that of course.
I read the OP. All I see is butthurt, butthurt everywhere (insert meme). I was mining Bytecoin[BCN] back in 2013.. I found it by accident through a simple google search looking Bytecoin [BTE]. Anyone else here could of done the same if they were searching for BTE.

So they launched a new cryptosystem without marketing it? Who cares? Satoshi did the same shit with Bitcoin. He posted his whitepaper on an email list (
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.encryption.general/22386) and created this forum to build a community. That being said, the whole premise behind Monero is a fair launch Bytecoin.. what exactly has Monero done in the last few years besides FUD other projects and resort to gutter trash marketing tactics. If this same principal were applied then shouldn't Litecoin be the "fair launch" Bitcoin since Satoshi was some shady guy (/s) that didn't bother marketing the shit out of his project? But but but he instamined so much Bitcoin though (/s)
Thank god Charlie Lee didn't pull the same shit as the Monero Camp with Litecoin.
Note: I personally could care less either way at this point in Bytecoin's lifecycle. The damage has been done by the Monero team and the project is so tarnished it will take a smart contract hail mary to pull it out of its current predicament. While I don't necessarily agree with their roll-out it isn't too much different than Bitcoin in that respect all the forensic whitepaper conjecture aside.
Let's look at similarities:

Since we're on a scam accusation thread, let's talk about Monero and the now defunct Oasis DNM. In a two month period Oasis launched and convinced a legitimate DNM to add Monero then exit scammed their user base.. The funds were most likely used to pump up Monero to its former all time highs. They also offered to assist in the implementation of XMR.
Timeline:
August 19, 2016
The darknet marketplace Oasis announced support for Monero
https://steemit.com/market/@generalizethis/oasis-market-adds-moneroAugust 22, 2016
AlphaBay also announced that the marketplace would also accept payments in Monero.
September 1st, 2016
AlphaBay Market also said that deposits and withdrawals in Monero could be made from September 1, 2016 onwards.
Around October 1th 2016 Oasis goes offline

Either a core dev or someone close them. I wouldn't be surprised if this scam was the brainchild of Fluffypony. His gutter trash marketing tactics have no limits. Remember the coordinated attack on Shadowcash's ring signature implementation?
The Oasis market was around just long enough to convince AB to add Monero and then as soon as they did they went offline to cover their tracks. What this tells me or anyone else with a brain is their whole purpose was to get a legitimate DNM to add Monero, not to service the DN community. Well played scam. The user below sums it up quite well.
