Sounds awesome dude! Im fomoing hard!! I think this can be the next XEM and go from 20 satoshi to atleast 1500 We just have 2 give it enough btc first! If you think that's HAWT...wait until you hear what we have planned for Release Candidate 7 (RC7)... "In wallet exchange support leveraging API keys and withdrawal in fiat" Our goal is to make it as close to a "one-button cash out" model so that non-profits (who are not staffed with computer savvy, let alone crypto-savvy people) -- the easiest and safest way to convert 2GIVE => BTC => deposits at their bank. Initially we're planning on wiring in support for Bittrex and BitPay. By using API keys (that we might eventually make easy to register from within the wallet) -- we avoid being classified as a "money transmitter" -- it's all peer-to-peer and controlled by the individual. This also means we do not have to register in the state of New York for a BitLicense either :p This is the ultimate in "removing friction" and "hiding complexity" as it gets It's Better 2GIVE -dvd

After just two months of going "live" the 2GIVE blockchain is now showing signs of being self-sustaining, thanks to our stakeholders who are holding coins in their wallets (where they belong and not at exchanges).
Strength in Numbers Foundation (SNF) is going to continue the "air-drop" and increase the cadence from a 30-minute window to a 20-minute window, shifting the drop again to build future staking opps to increase chain velocity.

As long as you have you wallet enabled to "Compete for Block Rewards (POW)" and its running you have the same chance to win any of the 1% rewards from the 100k blocks being sent between the seed nodes every 30 minutes --> that is increasing now to every 20 minutes -dvd Good day to all! Just posted a new pix over on the FB page that shows the updates coming to the Gift page which includes a "Balance" column and likely a "Date" as well.
These will be useful to let stakeholders know if their Gift*cards have been redeemed or not and will make it easy to "reclaim" them when they haven't.
This makes it VERY SAFE to do MASSIVE air-drops of paper wallets in the real world -- like hand them out at bars and events.
This way you can help bring more people into the ecosphere and not worry if they end up in the rubbish or garbage bin.
The BIG news is that this system no longer leverages the 'wallet.dat' file and instead adds in a 'wallet.sqlite3' file that will become the NEW wallet system in the future.
We'll be working on moving the Contacts over there next and adding in support for "email address" and name too like a proper contact system should have.
THEN we can do the first cut at the new Donate page, where we will pull a list of YOUR our stakeholders voted top charities and causes into the wallet directly. The plan is to have a little logo/thumbnail picture, a name, a description, a 2GIVE address and a click-able URL that will launch the browser.
FINALLY, we'll officially release V2.0 and begin doing a ton of press releases in the mainstream media as well as sending out paper wallets to known charities that were using the Do A Bit of Good screen saver system.
As always, we really appreciate your support by holding and staking your coins in your own wallet. Bittrex still has the bulk of the available float and we'd like to see that number shrink.
With less supply and more demand coming we should see a more true valuation of the coinbase emerge.
It's Better 2GIVE

It's true that we are actively considering a re-brand to GIFTcoin -- we'll put it to a stakeholder vote when we get closer. All functionality will remain intact especially support for charities and pro-social causes

We are VERY serious about the development of this coinbase. Unlike 99% of the "me too" clone brand coins out there we are actually enhancing the core value. I made a request to Polo just after we went live on Bittrex. Will make another request soon. I want to finish the BDB4 migration of the Contacts to the new SQLITE3 wallet and update the the "Donate" tab to "Support" with a list of approved orgs and individuals from the 2give.info website. We are migrating our https://doabitofgood.com site over which has the directory system already built. Once done we plan on making press releases in main stream media outlets. Thanks for your support! More news and announcements are coming! -dvd

This is a HUGE milestone for 2GIVE! The FIRST ever silent auction by a non-profit putting a 2GIVE Gift*Card up for bid! https://www.facebook.com/events/107567602988105/The value proposition has always been geared toward "underwriters" who can set whatever value they want for the coins and take credit for their charitable giving. This paper wallet represents 10,000 2GIVE, currently around $8 USD. Imagine if this was Bitcoin in its early days? For the savvy investor/underwriter they could buy the 2GIVE and hold it, let it appreciate in value and then donate it to another charity getting the benefit of the appreciation value!

We hit all the main coin outlets and in the past we've used "pr.com" to do world wide news wire like releases: I do have a direct contact with a syndicated writer who has written about our work before: http://www.twincities.com/2014/02/22/bitcoin-transitioning-from-obscurity-to-commonplace/-dvd

http://www.pr.com/press-release/681037**For Immediate Release** 2016.07.25 ST. PAUL, MN, USA Strength in Numbers Foundation (SNF), the not for profit digital trust established by blockchain expert and serial fintech entrepreneur David Duccini is pleased to announce that the first ever 2GIVE paper wallet was sold in a silent auction held by Leech Lake Legacy, a non-profit animal rescue and wellness organization that serves Leech Lake Indian Reservation and surrounding communities in northern Minnesota. SNF donated a 10,000 2GIVE “Gift*Card" to the the Leech Lake Legacy’s annual “Lagers for Legacy” fundraising event held July 20th at Summit Brewing in Saint Paul Minnesota. A 2GIVE “Gift*Card” is a paper certificate containing both public and private key addresses that entitles the holder to redeem the value stored on the 2GIVE blockchain by importing it into their digital wallet. At the time of the auction, the USD value of the card was approximately $8 and bidding on the card was brisk with an opening bid of $1 and a winning bid of $20 representing a 250% premium over market value. 2GIVE is actively traded on the Bittrex crypto-currency exchange. “The 2GIVE gift was certainly the most unique item in the collection!” enthused, Leech Lake Legacy President Craig Berdan. “It was great to see so much support for the Bitcoin of social giving.” he added. “This validated our underwriter concept that allows supporters to place whatever value they deem on 2GIVE and getting the full benefit of their charitable giving.” said SNF Executive Director, David Duccini. “When charitable organizations accept 2GIVE donations they can literally print their own money.” The winning bidder, who wished to remain anonymous, did relay that he looked forward to holding onto the Gift*Card and planned on donating it to a no-kill cat shelter in the future, saying, “If the value trend with 2GIVE continues, the appreciation will make this a very generous donation. It is much more appealing than traditional gift cards, which lose value over time due to fees and legacy financial practices. It’s exciting to take part in the new financial economy." Just a quick checkin to let you know that we're making GREAT progress on the upcoming Release Candidate 6 (RC6) version. The biggest thing is the addition (and migration) of "wallet.sqlite3" -- which we now store the Gift*Card and Contacts data in. You can see we have significantly upgraded the Contacts tab from the classic "label/address" that 99% of all wallets contain to one that now include email address and url. Plus a few modern UI elements like "confirming you really want to delete something" to prevent accidentally toasting either a contact or giftcard. Now that we have the Contacts tuned up (and out of the wallet.dat file) we can shift focus on the really big deliverable for RC6 -- the newly renamed Donate tab updated to "Support" based on feedback from a number of non-profits. We really think that 2GIVE could become the next "GoFundMe.com" system.

There was a MASSIVE 53.6M coin outflow from Bittrex in the last 24 hours!! That means a lot fewer coins available at the exchange...and the top three wallet holders that were there are hopefully now going to start earning by staking for us all <3 https://chainz.cryptoid.info/2give/address.dws?31.htmI've been monitoring the Bittrex "Distribution" tab since we started trading as well as the Cyrptoid Richlist and top wallets.... -dvd
