Once we have the protocol updated to support SPV and a demo mobile wallet on IOS we'll start to work on the marketing side of the project. I'm primary/lead developer (aka architect) but we have about half dozen others who contribute regularly. -dvd TY for the much needed and much welcomed words reporting on progress. Good work uncommunicated causes suspicion, particularly when investors are putting dollars into project. I spent a few decades teaching university students PR and marketing. Suggestion: contact faculty in those programs to get student help with social posts as part of an internship, club, or class project. No funds from ICO for communicating, eh? Are you the only developer?

The Linux daemon has always worked -- that's what powers our seed nodes -- not sure what's happening on your Windows 7 as we have several VM's in the cloud running windows 7/8/10 that have been up for over a year ?? Will see what it would take to create a .deb package for you! -dvd TheLittleDuke,
The Linux build going well? Trying to run on Windows 7, keeps powering off the tower & would really love to see a Linux .deb build. Could build from Github if one wanted too, that would be a single point of failure to thy tho & not all have the option to keep the overhead cost of Apple/Mac or Windows personal computers BTC

Hey LD can you message me with instructions on how to build it on Linux. Have an old server PC laying around and I will use it to add more seed nodes for you just not very experienced with Linux. Use to the ./autogen ./configure make routine but that doesn't work. Also happy holidays to you ...

For Immediate Release
Strength in Numbers Foundation (SNF), the non-profit digital trust established by serial FinTech entrepreneur David Duccini (aka TheLittleDuke) will cease staking coins on it's primary wallet on 12/31/2017.
We may continue to do small staking on other wallets as part of our "Proof of Giving" block concept that we will be rolling out in 2018.
SNF will continue to "air drop" coins onto the network by sending blocks of 100K coins from the original GiveCoin* wallets to it's offline trust wallet Give2SNF* -- the 1% TXFEE puts 1,000 coins up for individual wallet holders to compete to earn.
We will be making a formal announcement on our 501.3c status in January 2018 and look forward to the protocol upgrade to the 7000x stack that will enable mobile wallets to be built and deployed.
Happy Holidays everyone and here's looking forward to a prosperous New Year for everyone!
It's Better 2GIVE

It should just compile on Linux out of the box -- there are a bunch of dependencies that have to be there depending on if you want UPNP enabled or not. Do you have the Qt 'qmake' utility ? I THINK we have a static linux binary (command line) I could post on the 2Give.Info if you want? Our global seed nodes are Linux so I know it works ;-) TBH we are getting more requests for a Linux GUI version and it should be trivial to build -- we just haven't made it a priority. I'll check with the other devs and see if we can bump it up in the backlog... -dvd Command line would fine LD. Just trying to help as much as I can. As one who builds computers from scratch, if 2Give could get a simple .DEB build or built & make IT much easier to not have to build from source (trying to teach all to learn to build from source is not always an option) Tried to build Linux way back in 2010, unable to because of the learning curve for the end users & now Linux Foundation be very simple for even the newbies world of educated users BTC

Per our prior announcement here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=741714.msg26907331#msg26907331, the Strength in Numbers Foundation has ceased regular staking on all of it's original GiveCoin* wallets as of 12/31/2017. We reserve the right to re-enable it if a need arises. In the mean time we'll continue to migrate the bulk of our holdings to the offline non-staking paper wallet trust account with the vanity address: Give2SNF82LXRvkoa4NYtSuMMUyQvTAsMs Every time we move a block of 100,000 coins to the Give2SNF* address we "air-drop" 1,000 coins onto the network. We're doing a comprehensive statistical analysis of block emit cadence and intend to "air-drop" blocks to hopefully fill in the gaps with 2GIVE stakeholders who are willing to hold and stake the coins. More news shortly! It's Better 2GIVE! -dvd

There is no pool mining in 2GIVE -- the wallet doesn't have the requisite RPC functions. I don't recommend that anyone put their coins outside of their own wallet!! You cannot make more in POS staking in a shared wallet than you can alone -dvd If you are staking on a pool it will be much higher as you are gathered with other members in the same pool, bringing more weight and contributing more to the network. Thus, you actually might be rewarded more than staking alone (or more than double if you left the coins staking on the exchange). You can join a newly created pool (4 weeks old) but fully functional and VERY user friendly https://stakeunited.com/KryptoKing (they also work with referrals, so each time a member joins through your link and gains stakes, you'll be receiving a part of the fees that the Pool owners would be receiving (I think 10% of 3% of the fees). Hope this is beneficial

We're considering making a revision in the 7.x version of the wallet to only allow staking of at least 1 full coin to cut down on the "DUST" that is entering the chain.
This could also apply to sends.
Thoughts?

+ for supporting that idea, having received a few inputs with less than 1.00000000 & actually testing {like always} with an actual stake on this block here > 74501. Thinking ahead of the curve, knowing that 8 decimals could be a future single point of failure if someone was to do a stress test on the chain Keeping the database @ the most reliable state, download time + sync time = an actual blockchain future without the big hassle of having to wait hours or days due to wasted space in the database Vote = Yes for 1.00000000 minimum Proof of Stake output Block 74501.3

That's possible. Out of the box it was designed to have a PRIMARY address that it folds coins back into. I have tested with creating GIFT cards and then reclaiming them. Will add it to the backlog to take a look. -dvd Bug with wallet. Won't generate or display more than three receiving addresses.

Everything has been disclosed publicly on this thread over time, but I will summarize here the priorities for 2018: 0. Finish our integration with the coinoutlet BTM network 1. Updating wallet branding to reflect our "GIVE-GET-GIFT-GRANT" mantra 2. Update the core protocol from 60007 to at least 70001 to support mobile wallets 3. Begin producing "Proof of Giving" aka POG blocks that allow stakeholders the ability to GRANT a part of their staked interest to approved charities, non-profits, and social giving projects. 4. Connect wallet to exchanges via API to allow friction-free settlements so that a non-technical person at a non-profit could push a button or two to exchange their 2GIVE and potentially get FIAT into a bank account. The first demonstration will likely be with Bittrex and BitPay. It's Better 2GIVE. -dvd Hello is there any roadmap about that great coin?

Hello Mr. LittleDuke,
I am currently holding around 77000 Premine tokens. and I just found out that Primine is some what related to 2Gives. And found out that Premine is dead, swaped to 2Gives?
Is there anything I could do from this point? Please let me know if there is any way to solve this problem.
Thank you,
