Glad to see you took a couple days off dev.  You'll get nothing but support from me.  Ignore the naysayers, as hard as that may be sometimes.

Thumbs up.

Ditto.

You use a Mac? Eww... but all hope is not lost! Run a VM and use the Windows wallet to stake.

Yeah, I've been meaning to ditch the Mac but for now it's all I've got. I am not too familiar with running a VM. I assume setting one up would require some expenditures on software? It's unlikely I'd want to spend $ just so I can stake my HAL.

Nope! Check out the completely free and open source VirtualBox:

There is an OS X version.

Hi,

Nice project. Have myself  3 or 4k of hal.
I believe it will be a great great coin.

Just two questions.

Where is located halcyon.conf Huh i can´t find it! Do i have to create one conf file ?

When the masternodes will receive some "fees" Huh

B.R.

Maxximm

Yes, they mysterious conf file.  It is definitely taken for granted that everyone knows how to make them and what to put in them.  Sometimes you need them and sometimes you don't right?  Vericoin wallet creates it for you but most other wallets don't right?

I have created them and got wallets working that previously would not, but I don't feel comfortable explaining it just yet.  Hopefully someone else will chime in?  I feel like there should be more information about it covered in the OPs of all these coins.

No deal, McCutcheon, that moon money is mine!

Halcyon.conf should be in C:\Users\[YOUR_USER]\AppData\Roaming\Halcyon

You'll need to create the file.

Thanks for running a masternode Smiley   The reward structure is being programmed.  There will be more info on this and updates tonight.

Hopefully some news pushes this up. It is a great coin but seemed to have some exits on it. Hopefully we see some stability back up and get people to buy back into this.

Hmmm... expectation of love from a coin? Going to break up with it?  Altcoins an adventure? Wow. You need to get out more....

Try rock climbing, caving, hiking, exploring or anything that doesn't make your life sound so sad....

Any real altcoin investor will tell you, making 10k in a couple hours from a coin your heavily invested in gets your blood racing alot more then hiking.

One thing some people do wrong is they create a file Halcyon.conf.txt

(if windows)Make sure your "folder options" are set to show file extensions to be sure you didn't just create a text file by accident.  It should just be Halcyon.conf and use Notepad to edit it.  Sorry if I am stating some obvious stuff here.

As for what is in the conf file...Here is all I have in mine(from the 1st post of this thread)

addnode=162.243.118.225
addnode=107.170.133.216
addnode=104.131.207.101
addnode=104.131.219.246
addnode=162.243.174.135
addnode=162.243.166.54
addnode=198.199.120.21
peernode-peermaster=1
staking=0
addnode=104.131.57.47
addnode=162.243.134.246
addnode=162.243.36.48

This thread gives some clues to the conf file thingy.
http://forum.qrk.cc/thread/363/explaination-config-files
Of course those addnodes don't apply as it is for a different coin.

I figure I don't need any of those other parameters because I am not "mining".  Stuff like this...

listen=1
maxconnections=80
gen=0
genproclimit=-1
rpcuser=myusername
rpcpassword=mypassword
rpcport=9999
server=1
daemon=1

I could totally be wrong so hopefully someone can shout out if I am?
