Yesterday, about 10 hours ago, I sent coins from Bittrex to my local wallet 3 times, all within the same few minutes. 1 of 3 transactions is still unconfirmed. Luckily it was not the big transaction. What the hell is going on? I would like to know what went wrong here and how will I be able to get these coins back?

Looks like the transaction was broadcast but not accepted. Can you post back the receiving address so I can check it in the explorer please (it's a little too small to make out in the picture).

No probs. The transaction was included in block 217103:
http://explorer.shadow.cash/tx/eee084dda1b4bff9c081f0d19c763922364853eafe09d878e30fe9e99bde2228

So the transaction's in the blockchain it's just your wallet hasn't picked up on it. A -rescan should correct it, what OS are you using?

Thanks, will try that, I'm on Windows 8.

So I make 3 transactions total to the local wallet, and 1 goes wrong. Dev team might want to look into HTML5 wallet reliability, I've never experienced such things in BTC wallets nor in the wallet of one of your competitors, and I've done thousands of transactions.

I noticed you are running this is Thin mode and wonder if that could be the cause of the issue....

It may be the Thin mode coinzcoinzcoinz, I haven't used this yet on the comp that has my main wallet.. And as for that whitepaper comment I read back and realized I miss-read this quote for the public announcement. Sorry I was over excited reading  Grin

sdcdev is writing up a public announcement for later today or tommorow. Shocked

05:50:52@SDCDev
just this last bug then we can start planning the rollout for mainnet  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
05:52:31@SDCDev
I have a dinner tonight but afterwards I'll finish the paper

Because you weirdly removed parts of my quote again.
Search the term "one-time" "witness indistinguishable" I don't have time for you and never will. Call it what you want, you always were and always will be a problem to everyone around you.
You have spent months abusing this communities every action now you want us to be polite and help you. move along kid!

lol I never removed anything from your quote...go look.

I actually asked you to elaborate on this. I'm trying to understand why the SDC claim is so groundbreaking, when this shows that CryptoNote already has zero knowledge.

I heard that SDC was going to clone CryptoNote, and If that's the case, that's not so groundbreaking. Not bad, but certainly not groundbreaking. Undecided

I come here asking a question and am met with hostility, just like you claim that you were over at the XST thread. (how ironic)

I looked up what you suggested and am looking forward to the whitepaper and the actual release. We know talk is cheap in crypto, and until something is actually released, it's just hype.

Good luck!

It was never the intention of SDC to clone CryptoNote, and it never will be. SDC has it own unique implementation, CrypteNote is not being used at all.

This coin might want to consider losing the "Anonymous" imagery.

1. It's old, and cliche.

2. It's now associated with rioting and economic destruction.

3. The people who would actually use it for illegal transactions don't want to see this. All they want is privacy. Anything that attracts attention, makes a political statement, invites controversy isn't fun for someone who really does risk going to prison or worse for his activities. Under the radar is the way they go.

Try ShadowCash, the first coin with instant and decentralized private transactions!

So you think anonymous is going to attract more heat then illegal transactions used by terrorists and drug cartels.  Huh

I encourage you to look deeper into what a zero knowledge proof can do for business and the way we interact in a world of potential scammers in general. I believe greater demand derives from there. Proving to a person or machine protocol that you do in fact have the answer to "x" without revealing "x" or any personal information other then the fact that you do in fact control or know the answer to "x". That is not just about money.  And possibly try broadening your scope instead of assigning it "ilegal" status because the transactions are anonymous.

Anonymous idea is, at its core, activism.

Activism consists of efforts to promote, impede, or direct social, political, economic, or environmental change, or stasis.

At the marketing level i believe more people understand "Anonymous imagery" then they do NIZK. And thats where Shadow and even Bitcoin could use some work. User interaction and understanding.

Ones mans opinion, plus when u have zero knowledge transactions no need to sweat about that transaction being used against you because it can't be linked  Grin so under the radar you will be, depending on how stealthy your practices and habbits are on the world wide web

Illegal transactions are done with fiat currency in real life. They don't need cryptocurrencies and they never waited on cryptocurrencies to make their illegal transactions.
But from a guy who want see the tits of his girl friend with ShadowCash, I think you don't know much about real life transactions Grin
